I now live too far away but the epicentre was close to Wem, where I went to school.

Felt it in Staffs Moorlands, whole house was creaking!
Yeah I felt this in Oswestry. I thought someone was doing DIY in the office below me. Quite a strong judder to be fair.
Same over here in Cheshire - about 15 miles away and it did make the house creak.
Interesting that you mention "creaking". I didn't feel this most recent earthquake here in London but I did feel the 2008 Market Rasen earthquake here. I happened to be standing outside my house at time and the thing I remember most was the sound of the houses up and down the street creaking, and the nearby lamp post vibrating slightly.
