We’re staying a few days in NY and yesterday we did the Sopranos Tour. A 4 hr/ 50 mile into New Jersey tour in a luxury coach with a guide who has worked on the show as technician and stand-in during all seasons it was aired.
I can recommend this trip. Entertaining and it lifts a lot of curtains to look behind the scenes. The guide also tells anecdotes and reveils things about the characters. (Gandolfini wanted more salary for his role and got it. There was no raise for the other, less paid crew. During shooting, he singlehandedly gave all staff etc a hefty sum. In total his complete salary raise)
And yes, the Bada Bing and Holsten’s are real.
