    End of the journey...

...for watch and car collecting. After 14 Rolex watches and numerous cars I've come to the conclusion that these are my all time favorites. And I don't actually need anything more. I've tried newer Porsches and newer Rolexes but for some reason I haven't been able to "connect" them the same way.

Other one is manual 1994, other one is 2001 and automatic.

Maybe they're a bit mundane and unadventurous choices but hey... I like them. That's all that matters.

Looks like a 993? My favourite of the 911 line. I remember in the early 2000s there was someone in the same office building as me that had a lovely dark blue one. He replaced it with a 996 and i thought then he had made a mistake. My view has not changed!

    Yes. 993.

Well it's a close call as I like the 964 equally but when I purchased the car one good example of both was available and in the end it was about the color. Iris blue 993 won over polar silver 964.

Well you’ve ended up with a couple of very useable and lovely classics. What’s not to like about that, and more to the point you’ve enjoyed the journey to this point.

I've had a Seadweller and a 993, both lovely choices.

    For now...

    Had a manual 993 c2s and a 1675…

    Now on a 991.2 gts and a 116500.

I would enjoy trying a lot of these pairing!

Both work very well for me ;)

    Thanks, all.

The new 911's are so fast that I'd just lose my driver's license. I've actually driven all of them: 997, 991 and 992.

I do respect them. In the ideal world you'd own one new 911 and one old.

But these old ones are fast enough for me. :D

    Two well respected, modern classics.
Both obviously desirable to the casual onlooker, but equally both can be appreciated for their finer details by the enthusiast.

    Does the Porsche live outside?

    Thanks. :)

Yes it lives outside during the summer. When it's getting hot (rarely in Finland) I'll put it under a car cover but I will garage it in the wintertime.

Feels like some form of endpoint for divers for me. 1999 Swiss only.

I'd love a 911 of any kind, but funds don't permit, and we wanted 4 seats. So I have this Instead. It's a 330i, 272bhp straight six, folding hard top.

    That's a good one.

As Jeremy Clarkson said... Porsche owners always have a thin wife.

    She will fit there. Hahah.

    Nice Beemer.

    I love 'em.

I have owned three. E28, E34 and E39 (brilliant car... one of the best sedans ever)

    Cheers.

Nice. Midnight blue? You had a Turbo front end, right?

    You definitely shouldn't have sold.

    Cheers.

Aventura Green, although it looked grey with a hint of green/blue depending on the light.

Not a turbo front end but I did add the air ducts and aero pack splitters.

Sold it to try something new and take a bit of money off the table!
