‘We buy any house’ type of companies 🤔

    Hello All,
Has anyone got experience with a ‘we buy any house’ type of company?
Any that you’d personally recommend or any you’d definitely avoid?
    Cheers!

I'd avoid all of them, no exception.
I know two people who have been ripped off by these companies while in a jam. One of them sold at 75% value and promised he could stay on and rent the house back indefinitely. Evicted 3 months after the deal was done.

These are companies for very, very desperate people. If you need a quick flip I'd suggest auction before these vultures.

It's very often scam central - there are no regulatory bodies for companies that buy houses for cash.

In short avoid all of them, no exceptions.

If you're in need of a time pressure sale speak to a couple of local agents. They all have a phone book with a few cash buyers. It'll be less than the open market but more than the vultures you're asking about.

If there is a real time pressure get it listed ASAP and speak to your lender if you have one to fill them in. Perhaps speak to one family a friends who may consider purchasing.

Thank you for all your input.
We aren't in the ‘desperate to sell’ category…..yet, so we’ll certainly hold out longer with the traditional selling route.
    Cheers!

We have the same operators in San Diego. Sure, they'll buy your house "as is," with no fees or closing costs, but you will receive far less than the market value, so they can resell it for a profit.
