My old Sinn 556i made a reappearance on SC quite recently, was snapped up before I got the chance to buy it back! Was gutted as regretted selling it ever since I did.
Cupid Stunt.
SC = Sell your Crap for free (even when you know you should be donating for the privilege)
[less catchy than the others, I admit]

I missed that CWC RN '83 Reissue for £550 by minutes. And a vintage 70's Tissot chrono for £200 a couple of years back that was an awesome watch.
I've missed a few in similar manner over the years, in fact i don't think I've ever been successful. Always the bridesmaid never the bride.
I just read part of the thread where one member sold a watch that was registered as stolen to another and then failed to repay him.
If the various comments it occurs to me the money laundering angle wasn’t addressed.
The watch was stolen therefore was the proceeds of crime. If Rolex were to return it they would be handling the process of crime and if they provided paperwork perhaps integrating ( ML term) by legitimising it.
Another angle is the current ML regulation covers the jurisdiction of the offence. So a person in U.K. can be prosecuted for money laundering ( handling the proceeds of crime) if the offence took place in another jurisdiction.
The usual ‘wilful’ and ‘knowingly’ tests would need to be met, but maybe it does explain why Rolex wouldn’t hand back a stolen watch.

SC =Sodding Crap.....I missed it.
I do count myself as quite lucky, I got the 2 watches I wanted from TZ's Sunday scrum and quick enough on the keys to buy one or two other items. The Omega Railmaster was, while above my pay grade, on my wanted list.
Seller and I were £250 out with each other on an omega snoopy. He wanted 8250. I offered 8000. Deal not done
And a white 5711 at 21k or something. I thought it was about 1k too expensive and passed.
I also sold a stickered 116600 at £6000 three weeks before it was discontinued.
There are probably others
There are plenty of watches I liked, but didn't buy usually for budgetary reasons, but there are a few I really regret missing.
Glycine Airman One
Ollech & Wajs 6B Chronograph
Tissot PR-516
And one or two I hummed and hawed about and probably should have gone for.
A Tudor Prince Oysterdate 74000 California Dial.
Girard Perregaux Gyromatic but had just bought another vintage watch.
Now that all the comedians have had their fun, SC stands for Sales Corner. As a newbie you won’t yet be able to see it, but when you can you will find that it is a sub-forum where members can advertise their watches for sale
and their golf clubs, bicycles, jackets, socks etc etc

I sold a full set 14060m for about £3k a few years ago but partially redeemed myself by buying a full set polar 16570 for about £2.5k which I still have!
