Wow, I rate that, especially the black dial. Much more appealing than a cocktail time IMHO though I wanna check their thickness.
I don’t know if these have been posted here yet but these new Presage models look very nice and cheap at £570.
They definitely have a BB FF vibe.

I just wish it was 100m

Fan of the black dial too.
14.3mm thick, seems a lot? https://www.seikowatches.com/uk-en/p...esage/ssa449j1

Just got the Jura email and was going to start the same thread, but you beat me to it. I can't decide if I love this or hate it. The black dial version anyway.
No real interest in the champagne dial. That one has all of the awkwardness, without bold quirkiness of the one-eyed reverse panda.
BTW, I was wondering what the extra hand is for. It looks like a GMT hand, but it's actually a power reserve indicator. That's why there's a line running from the 11 marker to just past the 4 (the hand position in the photos is, I believe, indicates fully wound). Source:

3 complications that I have no use for whatsoever.
Central power reserve hand
Subdial date
Fixed numeral external bezel.
Stylish watch but no thanks.

You saved me from asking the dumb question why there is a central seconds hand and a seconds subial (that for some reason runs to 32...). I actually like the central power reserve hand. Doesn't disturb symmetry like a dedicated pr subdial.
Overall I like it, but it could have been better. Lose the subdial date, give it a rotating bezel and up the WR to 100m and it would have been great.
That does nothing for me. It’s got just about everything I dislike on a watch. The only thing that could make it worse is by adding Roman numerals to the dial or bezel.
I like these and all the complications add an element of visual interest and originality to the watch.
Given that watches are most accurate when fully wound, I think a power reserve is modestly useful. Nothing wrong with a date subdial either, not significantly different to a date window or a pointer date. I find them both more useful than a GMT which is one rung above day/night indicator in my book!
The date subdial is the one that I'm not sure about, feels like it would be slow to read. Not owned one though, so happy to be proved wrong!

They have the un-complicated version(s) in BHX airport for £400, seems OK.
Nice vintage vibe. They all come on NATO straps though.

I think I'd be more OK with it if the subdial was the same colour, although I'd prefer white to that that dark cream colour. It looks a bit smoke-stained.
I'm a bit intrigued by the model that seems to have snuck into a photoshoot, but doesn't seem to have been officially released:
I can find other colour variants such as this one, but the all-blue one just works in a way the others don't. Probably because the blue & cream are complementary colours.
I like that, especially in cream, though for a 60s style watch I would much prefer a 38mm diameter or thereabouts.
Didn’t Seiko have a very similar style on sale a couple of years ago?
^^
I think so - the Presage Crown Chronograph LE series looked very much like this, but without subdial.
I have one in black. It is a nice looking piece.
