    RIP Fred Ward

I remember him from Remo: Unarmed and Dangerous, as well as Tremors and Naked Gun.

    RIP Fred.

I remember him best for his portrayal of Gus Grissom in The Right Stuff.

    IMDb describes him as:
A marvelous character actor with intense eyes, a sly grin and somewhat grizzled appearance ....
    R.I.P. Fred.

First saw him in Remo and then in Tremors, never noticed him in anything else much and always wondered why.

    RIP.

Had a decent part in one of my favourites, The Player, starring Tim Robbins.

Read the thread title and though I knew the name.

Sorry to see another childhood actor step off.
