    Had the call…126610LV “Kermit”

Had a wonderful surprise call today informing me that I can collect a 126610lv submariner..
Have been lucky enough to own numerous 16610lvs but found the bracelet lacking. Had a hulk which I moved on when culling my collection so it is very exciting to be adding a splash of green back into the mix. Newer 41mm case, newer movement and that more subdued hue of green on the bezel..can’t wait!

Lucky man. My AD said no to me as I've already got the Hulk off them. Cheek....

Very nice. My observation was that the bezel is same as hulk. Is it different?

I find the newer 126610lv to have more of a darker shade of green bezel than the hulk..

In the online pictures it certainly does but in real life it looked identical to me. Would be interesting to hear from anyone who has both.

Far nicer than the hulk that it replaced, a darker shade of green on the bezel would be a welcome addition too.

    Enjoy the new piece.

I think 'far' is an exaggeration.

But well done OP for getting your LV. Pics please!

    Great news!

Out of curiosity, how long did you have to wait from when you placed your order?

As Frank Carson said, it's a cracker

Enjoy when you get it on your wrist O/P. The 41 Sub is proportioned just right.

As much as I’d love to, I can’t get it until Monday…hence lots of back and forth to the Rolex website drooling…

Not quite. Can see myself keeping this for a very long time. Newer movement, newer case shape, bracelet etc.

I’m not too sure just yet…recently sold my hulk after buying it in 2013 iirc. The green dial was majestic. I’m just a sucker for the latest and greatest. Ok I’m torn between the two but for me the newer movement, case etc won me over…

    Lovely watch

    Congrats

Of the original LV, the Hulk and the latest....I know which I'd have.

Very nice...that would be my pick of the subs too.

Looking at recent threads, there seems to have been an increase in 'calls' lately. Coupled with the increased number of sports Rolex on SC, I'm wondering if the tide is turning or whether that is wishful thinking on my behalf!

I recently phoned the dealers I had been on a list for the last 18-months. When I went on the list originally (before the pandemic crazyness), they'd both been quite positive about selling me a Rolex. When I spoke to them the other day, I got told 'no chance' and I had to 'build a relationship' with them first...one suggested I buy my wife jewellery. Found it a bit distasteful to be honest - its like saying 'give us some money to get on the list' and I've now given up.

    Congratulations OP.
    Looks good on your wrist.

The bezel colours look identical to me - my photo below not that representative (maybe daylight better).

Congrats on the incoming, looks great...

On the bezel, yes it must be identical...no chance they are spending ŁŁŁ on development if they don't need to.

From 2023 Rolex changed the colour of the green bezel on the 126610LV to a lighter more vibrant green , more in keeping with the original 16610LV colour. I prefer the Mk2 bezel. Mk1 is identical to the Hulk

Mk1 on the left is clearly a darker green

    Big improvement
Think the new bezel is from May 23 models onwards I read somewhere.

Going to mean collectors will go crazy for the mk1 short run bezel now!

Picked mine up in April with the MK2 bezel. Has received more wear since than my Hulk has in years...it's a lot more flexible and wearable.

The Mk1 bezel has been manufactured for 3 years and we don't know how long the Mk2 will be made for so as it stands its impossible to say which will be the short run bezel. There's also talk of a 70th Anniversary Submariner or that the lighter green mk2 bezel version is actually it!

Prefer the MK2 in the first picture and MK1 in the second. Just goes to show how the light changes them.

Wonder if anyone has asked RSC for a quote for a new bezel yet.

Can’t wait for the first person to pop their bezel off, claim it’s lost and ask for a new one, then get billed for a full service and MK1 insert.

Is the first not an actual photo and the second a generated image?

Yes and the second pic is clearly doctored by altering colour and contrast. Note the dial is grey on the right hand watch and black on the other.

Agreed, but I saw a new one, exhibition only, at the weekend and it looked “mushy pea green” still. Want to like them, still detest the mark 2 green :(

My friend has a mark 1 (I think) and it is lovely. I’m sure they both are

If it's lost you won't get a new one from Rolex, it's exchange only.

The Mk1 and 2 inserts are linked to the serial number of the watch. You cant get a mk1 insert for a mk2 watch.

So if you lose it, you're out of luck unless you somehow find another yourself? Rolex really do seem to be trying hard to makes things as unpleasant as possible for customers at times. Like with that notch in the case that was discussed here recently to prevent wearing a Rolex on anything but the original bracelet.

That aside, I do like the Mk1 green better than the Mk2 green.

I thought exchange only was the default but if there is nothing to exchange you simply pay even more? Bit like going in for a new bracelet.

Still not seen there mk2 in person but the mk1 does look different in different lights. Here is mine over the last two days. Can look great and not so great. I prefer it in the second two pictures.
