    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

If you like a bit of Trek this may well be the best of the new batch - a proper return to form.

    (Turn the speakers up!)

This is the opening sequence, just posted by Paramount:

There are lots more trailers, introducing the characters, on Youtube.

Anyone else looking forward to this one?
So clever my foot fell off.

I'm not a real Star Trek fan. I like the original series in small doses and the second and fourth films. I re-watched the reboot Star Trek from 2011 with the family this evening, it was on Film 4. It is a very silly film but crash bang fun. This is a rather long winded way of saying I'm actually looking forward to the new series. It appears to be more lighthearted than any of the recent series without been as dumb as the last three films.

Interesting, though I'd be even more excited at the prospect of a return of the NSEA Protector.

Bit of cross over with characters from Discovery which I though was really good.

Really hope this lives up to the hype. I’ve been a fan since childhood but just can’t get into Discovery.
For those that have yet to see them, check out the Star Trek Continues fan film episodes on youtube, well worth a watch.

Will be interested to see how they handle the delicate balance of presenting an environment that looks like the future to an audience in 2022, but also looks in keeping with the '60s idea of the future as presented in the original series.
