What does an watchaholic need most ?

So after trying and trying to find bigger watch boxes to no avail, I bit the bullet and found a local chippy, after a large cod and mushy peas the design ideas came through.
This is the journey and the end result.
Shoi sugi ban case in three storeys with zebrano drawer fronts and compartmentalised.

That's quite a watch box. I don't know if the extra space for yet more watches is a good or a bad thing, but you're so far down the rabbit hole, what's a few more?!

The box looks amazing and I will never feel guilty buying another watch again!

  8. #8
Wow - that's impressive. How do you decide what order to store them in, or is that another rabbit hole?

Holy moly! I’m not sure what’s more impressive, the box or the sheer amount of watches!

I’m showing this to my wife as evidence that my collection is very modest.

That’s a serious box! Does it come with a concierge service, I’d forget where I put one.

That's looks fantastic! Do you have a shipping container in your garden for the boxes the watches came in?

That’s a fair effort… what is your sock drawer like?

    That’s fantastic, very nice.

Excellent work and an eclectic collection.

Is 240 watches a limit or a target?

Lovely woodworking skills... but seek help about the watches!

    :)

The Seiko Kinetic Arctura in the first box drawer pic next to the rado is the watch that got me into watches in the 90s.
Everyone had the red to yellow power reserve model but mine had a grey to white as it was for the Asian market and bought at HK airport.
The capacitor eventually gave up the ghost and the bracelet rubber snapped by the links but I wore that thing constantly for years and loved it.
Replacing it put me onto automatic watches.

Had a lovely reminisce looking at your collection there. The game boy watch is also fantastic.

A hugely impressive box. My word though, how many watches? Stellar effort on both fronts 😎
