Doxa x Watches of Switzerland Ltd Edition

Thoughts? I quite like it but the price at over £4k is OTT. Limited to 100 pieces

I'm with you - looks nicely done and I like the fact the case is slightly slimmer than the standard 300t. Could have done without the fish on the crown though. Price seems a bit steep too. I'm hoping they use this case for a full 300t range in ceramic.

    £4K. Oops
It's just a matter of time...

At first glance, perhaps, but what’s with the army logo thing and sorry to be a date window police, don’t like the execution of that

I don't normally understand people's date window gripes, but yes, that does stand out and not in a good way. A date wheel in black would have been far less intrusive.

At 4K I will stick with my near identical Synchron. Not sure there would be much difference (bar ceramic case) in the quality to be honest.

It’s a homage to a model they (Synchron) made in the 70s
Is this a delayed response to the Synchron release last year? “let’s make the same watch as them because they put our nose out of joint but… we have to do something different because we have no choice, I know ceramic”…

    Not for £4k IMO

I think that just about sums it up. Before the Synchron Military release, Doxa had no intention of reissuing the Army. Synchron have stolen a march on Doxa here and the price differential between the 2 watches doesn’t help Doxa much.

absolutely love this combo but the price as op said eye watering. would make a great holiday watch . and the hand colouring is awesome, pops nicely but definitely not at 4k . maybe an older steel Doxa will be a better value prop

True to recent form, Doxa has now announced a non-limited version of the Army in steel. The standard colourway with a ceramic bezel insert and a version with a bronze bezel with a green insert. I'm not sure if the new models have the same, slightly thinner case as the ceramic LE or if they just use the standard 300T case.

Edit: Time & Tide article suggests it does use the thinner case.

I prefer the standard black bezel to the green and bronze. I was impressed with the synchron army when it came out. The difference in price between the two is significant, I'll wait to see if synchron do a reissue. I have a 300T professional which I enjoy.

They look pretty good to me. I prefer the shape of the 600t, but would be interested to see one, especially the one with a bit of bronze.

    Beautiful, but quite expensive!
