I've been thinking about this for the last few days (on and off not all the time, honest). I have plenty of electronic watches which have already been mentioned. Plenty of vintage watches including vintage quartz and LCD. All of which are readily available and probably not too difficult for non WiS to find.
And then it struck me. The fact I have somewhere in the region of thirty watches is what confirms my WISdom (or just very poor impulse control).
However to answer the specific question (and to follow the forum tradition of a post being useless without pictures) it is probably this one:
My beautiful Girard Perregaux with 350 quartz movement. I mean what is more WIS than buying an obsolete, fifty year old watch with spare parts on the hens teeth end of the availability scale and knowing it will cost more than you paid for it to fix a problem if one ever occurs? And I know I will stump up because, to me, it is important that timepieces like this should continue to operate. It is too unique to be consigned to the dust bin. Which reminds me, it has spent too long in its roll and needs to see the light of day.

I don't own one, but I'd put Moser and ALS up there, as most people I know have never heard of them.
It's just a matter of time...
From all my watches, this has always been appreciated/commented the most from fellow watch nuts:
Hmmmm. I guess seeking out a Birth Year coke Pogue counts? 1970

Probably this, although not immediately obvious. SPB079 on the bracelet from an SPB077 (comes only on rubber) and the clasp from a MM300 for some adjustment without needing to hunt down a paper clip.

Prob my fascination with this old pocket watch
For me, nothing spells wis quite like a purposely unbranded dial.
And more so if it is a custom variation.
Then, obviously, there are custom builds...
I think what stimulates "other normal folk" is the fact the watches have looks an feels but being unbranded scares them off. So only fellow wis remain to join the conversation.

^^^Now that is a distinctive looking watch.
Never seen one of those before, love it..
Thanks, the full reference is Casio Oceanus Cachalot OCW-P2000-2AJF.
It's a Japanese domestic model, so only available from there.
I obtained it from Seiya at a very competitive price and their service was excellent.
There is also a blue bezel version (OCW-P2000-1AJF), but I preferred the Pepsi.
