    Sales price ideas / valuation

    Hi all.
Thinking about selling my dd40 228238
    https://postimg.cc/t7MBWmSy
    Full set from November 2021
Unworn. Some stickers still on it
After the nd sub sales post debacle I want to price it right and at a fair price

The ND Sub sale debacle was more to do with how the seller went about things / conducted himself.
If you didn’t buy it to flip for a quick profit while ignoring the fundraiser, I doubt you’ll encounter hostility.

I’d get a valuation from Watchfinder on it and price it accordingly from there I’d say
Or a few other dealers valuations on top of WFs

I would also recommend trying Subdial for a price , I recently sold my 228206 to them and they were excellent.

I’ve heard WF aren’t buying any Rolex?

A couple of pals told me the offers are that low you’d have to be extremely desperate to sell

    Yep.

Hence my comment “they are still making offers….” rather than “they are still buying” :-)

I recently offered a number of Watches as a dream watch come available at a fair price.
The offers on 2 were fair and 2 were low.
All were higher than BQ Watches.

As a follow up I was then contacted by 2 different managers of Watchfinder boutiques who updated offers on specific pieces.
Seems they are almost acting like a broker for their own boutiques.

Just curious. Why would WF no longer buy Rolexes? (I don’t own one by the way but have sold to them in the past)
And that day date is fantastic BTW.

BQ Watches lowballed me to the tune of 4.5k last year. Very poor.

BQ tried to sell me an Oysterflex Daytona in YG with black diamond dial for £70k as it was POA. Prestigious Jewellers in Leeds advertised the same watch on the same day for £50k!

I'd steer well clear from BQ if ever trying to buy or sell a watch, just my personal experience.

Definitely good advice. That Paul Thorpe bloke has them as a trusted dealer. Interesting.

That was my take on it

I've got a hunch/gut feeling that the "bubble" or whatever you want to call it has burst already we just haven't felt it yet

Let us know when you see watches in windows again and maybe that would be correct
