Hate to do this to you, but "Mine says 'hi!'"...
They are bloody excellent watches for £$peanuts - Sinn quality for Casio money
Been there, done that and seen it, as they say, the hobby is still active but on a very low profile and somewhat quartzy.
I needed a beater for the Suriname jungle this summer, something utterly reliable that needs no service and will keep on ticking.
With a WR of 200m, one piece case and Duratect this is close to perfection, imho.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

I am a massive fan of Duratect, had a Ray Mears for ages and it was almost miraculous how much battering it resisted.
2 things have always plagued me with these.
The first is how diddy the date wheel is. It just looks silly small (and is useless to me without reading glasses).
And when will Citizen ever do as clean a design, but with a bezel?
Lolzzzz,
The strange thing with these, now discontinued, is that they are often going up in price when they stop producing them. The green one is difficult to find and some will ask silly prices.
@Sweets
Agreed on the date, but I never use it so it doesn't bother me much. And regarding the bezel, that was the selling point for me, when swimming in the mighty Suriname river the very fine sand in the water always ends up in the turning bezel making it almost impossible to turn afterwards.

Nice to hear from you again Rich.
Glad you are enjoying your life in Surinam.
Cheers,
Neil.
Cheers chaps. I didn't realise I needed one of these in my life!
Leuk horloge.
I had the black version which I'd bought before seeing this one, which is much, much nicer looking. They're great for the price and have that excellent monocoque case, solar power and on mine the E168 movement hit the markers, which they generally do - much better than most quartz Seikos in my experience.
The only downsides for me were the 22mm lug width, I prefer 20mm, and the date raampje being TINY, and mine being all black. I moved it on after my Arnie turned up, as I have a Ray Mears 2 as a Citizen representative in the collection.
Draag dat slecht jongetje in wel gezondheid... - you know what I mean. :)
Perfect colour for jungle trekking Richard, add some camouflage clothing and you'll be able to blend in perfectly
Just don't put it down in the grass or you may never find it again.
Wear it in good health.
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

F.T.F.A.
That looks the business, colour matched to the jungle, enjoy your trip D.
There's the black one Richard, as I said your green one is definitely the pick of the colour options!
