Pequignet - Any member had experience of the marque?

I have been looking for something different and away from the usual suspects and started looking at the Pequignet Manufacturer.

In particular their Rue Royale Moonphase watch, such as the one below.
    https://www.pequignet.com/rue-royale...te-opalin.html

I would be interested to read from any member who has either owned or still owns one of their watches.

Would also be interested to read of any alternative Manufacturers.

I can’t comment as an owner but I did spend a good hour or so in a Normandy AD a few years ago being shown the range. They seemed really well made and the dealer was obviously very proud that they were able to showcase a French make that rivalled the Swiss. I was close to buying after being treated to a couple of glasses of wine but decided against it. The dealer still gave me a bottle of local calvados as a thank you for looking!
For alternatives I would check out the Toric and previous generation Tonda’s from Parmigiani. Classic styling, Patek levels of finishing and usually available with big discounts.

Stewarts Watches in Leicester, Pequignet agents, have several in stock and they're impressive.

I've bought a Habring2 and a Girard-Perregaux from Rob, the owner, and he's a good guy and easy to deal with.

    Thanks Tinker

Like you I also purchased a Habring2 from Rob, lovely watch and truly an independent manufacturer, but was put of by the noise the rotor made.

I did check out his website, I was thinking along the lines of PM piece.

There is a nice looking one on Chrono24 for about £7,500

    From the lack of comments.
Is Pequignet either not very well known or just not well made etc?

Out of interest are there any discounts available on the Habrings? I suspect not as they perennially seem to be out of stock.

Re the Pequinets try Ocarat in Paris - they often do good deals on their stock

Having handled some in the flesh - Ooh, Missus! - and read about them, they seem to be well made and, to my eyes, attractive. I wouldn't pay £7.5k for one, though, not least because the brand hasn't had much market impact yet and resale prices are uncertain. The one I would buy, but secondhand, is this:

I had this watch, blue dial in steel. Nightmare to resell. Think i sold for 2995. They are hard to pick up used due to so many not selling and appearing on secondary market. Beautiful watches, well finished.

About 200 mentions of the brand show up on the forum if you do a search for Pequignet.
