    Current State Of The Collection

Regrets. Ive had a few, however selling some watches I really liked meant I could afford to buy some that I preferred even more and I am now down to four. ( I have a couple of beaters for work but they are purely essential and dont count ;-)

All are tool watches have black dials, domed crystals and no crown guards. Three have no dates and two are hand wound.

The Seiko Sbbn015 is my third Tuna, I started with a solar Padi Tuna then got a Sbbn035 and realised the size, bezel, dial, hands, S-crown and overall quality of the 015 was for me the ultimate Tuna combination and found this excellent example from Hungary. They seem to be quite thin on the ground at the moment

The Panerai 425 is quite simply the most beautifully made watch that I have ever owned and the virtually none existent lugs means the 47mm size isnt an issue and I like the fact the case size is historically correct and justified by the enormous and visible 3 day hand wound movement that is squeezed in.

The Smiths PRS-29b double dome is a very special watch, not only for its rarity ( one of 200 ) but because its so right its stopped me buying one of my all time aspirations, an IWC pilots watch. No date, hand wound movement and no external crystal AR and drilled lugs means that I actually prefer this watch.

Last but not least my latest acquisition the Black Bay 58. I have previously owned a 14060 and this wears very similar. The power reserve of the BB58 is better and I love the raised crystal, gilt finishes, red bezel triangle and no crown guards I thought I would put this straight onto a NATO but I think the bracelet looks spot on and gives some variety to my other watches. ( the faux rivets dont annoy me like I thought they would as they actually look ok )

The small collection together, I might possibly one day add a Speedmaster or a textured dial Grand Seiko at some point.

A very nice 4 watch collection. I wish I could pull off that Panerai like you can! Really like the Tuna too.

Nice collection there, I think four is a good number, Ive often thought that would be a good number but every time I trim the numbers down, I get a wandering eye and up they go again. I can definitely see me having Tuna some time.

Thats a great selection. Looks like your MM300 has been sacrificed?

Still fancy trying the BB58 at some point. Trying to convince myself it would complete my collection for a while..

Yes it wasnt an easy decision but I cant afford to keep everything and fortunately after wearing it for a week I prefer the Tudor.

It is a very versatile watch and straddles the tool watch/smart watch line perfectly.

The Panerai were surprisingly flat on the wrist so doesnt feel top heavy compared to other smalle4 diameter watches that I have owned.

I always enjoy these threads where someone talks through their collection. Four seems a great number. Thanks for sharing!
