Cleaning a good dress watch (without destroying it)

I have had a search of the forum and can’t find anything so I hope some of the veterans can guide me!

I have an IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar in Red gold from 2009 which is unpolished. It has some swirls but no dents or anything deep so I do not want to polish. I would however like to clean it and if possible make it shine a bit more!

The case is a pretty intricate mix of polished and brushed so I would not want to unlease a cap cod on it. Is my best option a good quality microfibre, made damp and run over it? The watch has a 30m water resistant.
