Spielberg’s film* should be on the curriculum.

the film that should be on the curriculum is Claude Lanzmann's SHOAH
Schindler's list is a brilliant film but it's history as told by Hollywood.
'Against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain' - Schiller.
Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
If you have the chance (and the time), go and watch Shoah. I agree that a trip to Poland can be life changing in this respect, but there will always be people who cannot go and besides Poland is a bit ambiguous at the moment regarding that page in history.
Shoah could be shown interview by interview, across the 3 terms. A trip to Buchenwald (if Poland is an issue) could complete the curriculum.

I will look for it.
A trip to any of the remaining concentration camps is a sobering experience, to be fair.
My wife visited Dachau 3 times in a year (we lived nearby and visitors wanted to go) and found every trip emotionally draining - I only went the once, but it certainly felt that way to me too.

... I entirely agree with the length issue, hence my suggestion to split it and show it interview by interview across 3 terms.
As to The Schindler's List, it is probably like most of French literature: great if you decide to watch it (read it) but becomes instantly uncool and boring the moment it becomes part of the curriculum

I must admit I didn't know her name, but but am sorry to hear of her passing.
There can't be many people left who lived through that dark period of history.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
RIP Mimi, you were part of an incredible story and a very brave lady.
