Well, they'll do to get started...

    Some very nice items there.

I know it's a bit Marmitey but I do like the Steinhart Triton.

Coincidentally, I was just looking at the similar collage I made last year. To many (particularly the sports Rolex) I regret selling!

For a second I thought it's your current collection. That would be sick. But getting and flipping the majority of it to try others during all those years is more of a rather exciting horological journey.

No. You only have a problem if you've kept them all....

    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

Not often you see an Obris Morgan watch these days. Some lovely pieces in your album.

I'm obviously out of step here.

Over the last twenty-one years I have bought only sixteen watches -- of which I still own fifteen

I'm intrigued on the one/why it was sold ?

    Stowa Seatime.

Bought online after a really good experience with one of their Fliegers (which I still own). It never felt right on my wrist, clunky, heavy, and sharp edged. So sold it on forum. The new owner tried it on before paying -- and is still happy.

Learning experience. I now don't buy pieces I haven't had on my wrist.

    A lesson for all

    OP, I concur :-)

If only I knew 54 years ago and took the photos to prove it, what a crazy and costly this passion of ours would be!

Instead I should have spent it on property,,,,,apart from the Patek's especially their Sport models!!!!!

That’s very impressive indeed! I’ve got the buying part down. The selling not so much unfortunately.

    I am in Griswold’s camp
It’s only a problem if you have kept most of them.
I knew I had a problem when I had to buy a second safe.
    Some nice examples shown
Ploprof being the stand out for me.

I read that as: "I knew I had a problem when I had to buy a second wife."

Blimey. Must have been pretty difficult letting some (most) of them go!

Bit of an Orange theme just about weaving though there, I see.
And a couple of bold (bonkers) pieces!

I could never have tried and enjoyed as many as I have without moving some along.

Better to have loved, and lost…

But wow, it is great - and tough - to look back and see what has gone.
Embarrassingly, I would have the same watch appear more than once. More than twice for some!

LTF - my word! I have always taken interest in your posts and purchases. You have great taste (most of the time!), and some of those that you have flipped would maybe make me wince a bit at having let go.
