    Shorts please help

So the first few sunny days of the year (not today) and I’m digging out some shorts - usually I go for combats or dare I say chino type shorts, which can be worn with a short sleeved shirt and pumps.
Problem is, I buy them from the supermarket for convenience - but they are very bad quality, last a season then literally tear apart!

Any advice on where to buy or just advice on some decent shorts brands. Cheers

Very similar, but the holes in mine appear much lower down, so that I don't need to cut off as much of the legs.

Bought a pair of Polo shorts (not "polo shorts", if they exist) from Macy's in 2000, and they're still going strong. But I have a pair of cargo shorts that I bought at Tesco about 15 years ago that are still perfectly serviceable, having done a lot of holiday duty since then.

When it comes to gardening in shorts - I always play safe and go for the 'classic' look.....................

I have a couple of pairs of Timberland shorts which have been very hard wearing. I also just got my first order of Spoke jeans and, if their shorts are same, then they will do you well too. Bit spendy though.

I buy Craghopper Kiwi trousers and have them made into shorts. They also sell shorts but I prefer being able to have the length I want.

Why are so many men's trousers now sold "compo" style with roll-ups?
