    New Grand Seiko Tourbillon

Haven't seen this posted yet and thought it might be of interest to some (probably more from a horological standpoint than a purchasing standpoint). Grand Seiko released what I believe is their first tourbillon, in this case coupled with a constant force mechanism, a couple of days ago. The mechanics of the whole thing are a bit beyond my comprehension, but greater minds may appreciate it.

The video is certainly worth a watch:

Really enjoyed that, thanks for posting. Beautiful movement and amazing video!

Very impressive. This and the Sea Chicken really show Seiko's flex

Perhaps I'm missing the point of a tourbillon, but why would it need adjusting in 6 positions?

I thought the whole point of the tourbillon was that the adjustment was independent of position.

Beautiful, the watch looks fantastic obviously - but I also really like the strap

And a price that appears to compete with the Credor Grand Sonnerie - what a watch!

Was expecting a bit of a beast but 12.9mm thickness (and 100WR) is very wearable for the lucky 20

That looks amazing. What a lovely watch. I think I read $350k though. Might have to give this one a miss.

Wowser. That's a high price to pay. Do I need both kidneys?

    That is a stunning presentation.
It's mad to think all that engineering is just in case on your wrist.

It's the earlier version but you will get the idea. I would sell my soul for a Kodo.

I wonder if they’ll do a PM version.

Not bad. Makes me wonder... if I sold up my current collection.... I'd only need to find another £300k
