Can’t see these having the cool factor of the original Orfina Porsche design chrono worn in the first film (to me at least)
The 1986 movie “Top Gun” was 20-odd years before IWC affiliated themselves with Top Gun, the flight school and not the movie. A quick Google finds this information on IWC, the flight school, the movie, and the sequel.
I believe a version of the IWC Pilot Chrono appears in the new Top Gun movie.

The movie had no influence on me buying. The Top Gun moniker is all about the flight school and aviation for me.

what is that glass in front of the pilots right eye? I'll assume some form of tracking/sighting device.
Fun TOP GUN fact:
Although Mav sports the Orfina throughout, when he "hits the brakes" the interior cockpit shot shows the pilot wearing a Submariner.
Hey ho!
Spooky! In Revenge (kevin Costner) he gets a retirement present from his squadron of a Submariner. of course this was 1990 when Submariners were plentiful/available
Yes, it can be spotted a few times. This was due to some scenes and reshoots they did after main shooting ended. His hair changes length from scene to scene too.
I can see from the various Top Gun: Maverick trailers that many of the younger pilots are wearing NATO straps and what might be IWC watches.
Rumour has it Mav still wears his Orfina but I'd guess Bremont, IWC and more would have been desperate to get their products placed in the film.
I managed to get this screen shot from the new trailer released today
Definitely a NATO and possibly an IWC
