Haha - I has my name down to a Pepsi GMT (SS) minutes after they were announced as I was in the coffee shop round the corner from my AD. Still not arrived…

Not the end of the world though it’s only a watch.

I really don't think green would work on the GMT bezel and tiff blue would be hideous. Tbf it might work as a dial colour on the Skydweller.

LVNR GMT would be a huge surprise. Not sure it works personally. Even less so if a lefty.

Lefty green GMT. Hideous. New Air King is nice though

  25. #75
Is there a company who listens less to their customers than Rolex?

Every year the internet is flooded with what customers hope for, and every year Rolex say sod that, we’ll give you this instead.

Crown guards on an Airking? Isn’t the Explorer the watch you’re supposed to be wearing in the mountains.

Lefty GMT, why? Everyone wants to see a Coke version.

Ti Yachtmaster, like Ben Ainsley’s - nope more gold for the Oligarchs.

    Is that it?
What’s new about the Deep Sea?
    Green GMT is minging IMO
The Airking is an improvement, more lume on the dial, still wouldn’t buy one though.

I agree. The lhd green/black GMT is the only Rolex sports ss release since I started caring about such things I wouldn't thank you for. BLNR and BLRO still on website so it's an addition (and is more expensive at £9k!).

    Agreed, certainly at first glance.

I like the look of the Pelagos LHD so it must be the combination of the cyclops and crown guards on the GMT that makes it look so weird / unbalanced. I guess breaking the mould of a 70 year old design should be expected to take time to get used to.

Time for a new job :)

I don’t love anything released and the gmt will be marmite but will no doubt sell for massive premiums.

New Tudor black bay pro is the pick of the bunch for me today, it’s like an updated Rolex 1655 and that’s no bad thing

Trying to work out what’s “new” about the DSSD but suspect it’s incredibly small changes to warrant the new reference.

Lots of very interesting additions/changes away from the headline releases too. New Datejust dials for the 41 in Blue/Green are lovely.

New Platinum Day Dates WITH fluted bezels which are a first…..

Yachtmaster 42 made even uglier (imv) in YG and with an odd new dial for WG 42

Good to see lots of rumoured discontinued models have not been removed but did note that 3 O/P 41 coloured dial models have gone…..including the “Tiffany”…….Distinct “up yours” to the secondary market by Rolex there.

I would agree. Nothing of interest in the Rolex lineup although the GMT will sell for huge premiums.

The Tudor is the pick of the bunch but about time they did away with those silly faux rivets.

That LHD GMT is the oddest thing I've seen in quite a while. Just bizarre.

I like the new Airking and after the Explorer went to 36mm it makes sense to have the AirKing bigger at 40mm. I wouldn't buy one as I have a 39mm explorer. The Platinum day date surprised me in the fact i like it and I'm not usually a fan of the lighter coloured dials. Although i couldn't afford one and that's got to weigh around 250g

It’s cool that they’ve figured out the fluted bezel in platinum, but personally there’s nothing that interesting here

The green dial from last year going into the DJ36/41 is cool, but for me the 36 is too small and 41 is too big

Left handed GMT isn’t for me, looks weird and I don’t get what the green is meant to represent

Removing the Tiffany OP41 is good news for the speculators

Ooof yeah, funky red, yellow and blue dials all gone from OP41. Tiff still on OP36 though.

From the sound of it, I didn't think I'd like the black / green GMT, but it actually looks fine. LHD just doesn't feel right, so it's a no go even if ever reaching the supply for this model.

Assume this will appeal to guys wearing watches on their right hand?

Wonder how the Mint Green DJ dial compares to the Olive dial on DD..

It appears that my “reliable source” was spreading fake news - shame on me for being fooled. Nevertheless I’m really disappointed with this year’s releases. Innovation is pretty limited. The only upside is that I won’t be hankering after any of them, so I don’t have to worry about the waiting lists etc. I hope the fickle nature of the new fan base will turn away from older models and onto these, making it easier to purchase 2018-2020 releases. That’s wishful thinking, I know.

I'm baffled why they have moved the date to the same side as the crown and not just left it on the other side like when other companies have made a destro.
