It’s a no for me but kudos for those who have been lucky in the lottery.

It is good to know a couple will be on the Forum

I was also unsuccessful. Slightly envious of those who are getting them. Look forward to seeing them appear on the forum!

Strange, the email went in to my Junk folder too.

Looking forward to the pictures when these start arriving!

Congrats to those that got an allocation.

  5. #55
I missed out too but good luck to those that get one. It’s a fun watch and it’s been a fun process. Charmingly idiosyncratic.

Completely missed this, can't win a lottery if I don't even enter it!

Congrats to the two folk who got one, it certainly looks a bit special.

I didn’t have to go searching to see if I was unsuccessful, it appeared in my inbox!

I’m glad that at least two members were successful.

Just caught up on this thread. Well done to the TZers who got one.

Looking forward to the pics. Or videos which this watch probably needs.

^^ I presume that M.A.D. Blue owners have had their Red's shipped first? Only fair to be honest.

I have to wait until September at the earliest before mine will be shipped and looking at yours does nothing to ease the anticipation, congratulations!

I think a few people were allowed/offered to collect their watches the other week at W&W.

Tbh I’m thinking of collecting too whenever the call comes. Would be a great weekend break.

Desperate for mine too, especially now the money has been taken. Going to be a long wait.

Yep - I picked mine up whilst over there for W&W. It’s definitely worth the trip as there are so many welcoming independents to visit whilst you’re over there.

To be fair, it wasn’t the only reason for the trip…

I did see that on IG when you got it. One of the best looking watches I’ve ever seen. Genuinely incredible.

Congrats on such a beautiful watch. Must be unbelievably special.

Gorgeous! I presume they have a booth there as well? What was on displays ? Even some of the accessories online are sold out! Is there a thread with photos covering W&W that i missed out?

One is for sale with Subdial. Shame to enter the lottery just to sell it first thing. No idea how it always works that the first people to get something like this are always the ones to sell it!

Pretty huge return, I can understand why someone would be tempted to flip it. Who's to blame, the average Joe who falls to temptation to sell a watch that will generate profit equivalent to months of work, or the mug who's going to buy it and create a market for the flipping?

    Probably both

This is hands down my grail watch and has been for a long time. I absolutely love it and I've only seen one through glass.
I spent a fair bit of time in the company of Stephen McDonnell when I was at Bremont; he is methodical to the point of obsessive and it really shows with this watch. It's an absolute work of art as well as one of the great horological pieces of engineering.

There's been a few that have popped up on Chrono24. I'm not sure how accurate the 300 pieces info is though!

Called up today to see if I could go and collect at some point as my delivery window is Sept-Dec and I thought it would be a great weekend away but by chance mine is going due in the next batch anyway so should be here in the next week or two.

Will pop up some pics when it comes. Hopefully your one is in the same batch TWB or not far behind.

Mine arrived via DHL last week, be prepared for the duty payment.

The rotor spins (and glows) like you wouldn't believe, I'm very pleased with it - I do like off the wall watches!

That is seriously cool. I now have a DHL tracking code now but no delivery date, I'm guessing it's waiting to be picked up and will update after.

I'm guessing your duty will have been less than what I'll need to pay due to the recent devaluation! I think about £600 should do it.

The next communication will probably be the duty charge from DHL, mine was £521.22.

I had an expected delivery date of the 27th but it actually arrived on the 23rd.

If you like MB&F geekery you'll love this watch Wiley!

DHL called earlier to confirm I was expecting the item and was aware import would be charged. My tracking is still on "shipment information received" so they haven't picked it up yet but perhaps by EOD something will show and I'll get an invite to pay online.

I went to an mb&f event at WoS recently and if I won the lottery I would have the green dual chrono lawnmowerman has, no question. This is the closest I'll ever get to that so I can't wait.

It's a lot lighter than I was expecting. I'm one of those idiots who associate weight with worth so I'm still trying to square it mentally.

The end cost was £3k but it's impossible to compare to a new Tudor or used Omega. You have to buy this purely for the bonkers value, that's where the meat and potatoes of it is.

I hear you. Were it me, the decider would be wearability - can I tolerate on my wrist, and can I actually tell the time in all the circumstances I need to. Even something this mad needs to do its job. Personally, the lightness would be a pleasing bonus, 'cos like you I'd expect it to be heavy as hell, but I do understand your misgiving.

Still, it's a damn handsome thing.

Great set of photos. I think it looks excellent and something really different from the norm, worth a space in the watch box as it offers something so different.

A shame they were so limited, but it's good they'll be opening up the raffle again and at least they're allocating them in a fair manner.

What's the little black tube under the felt pad?

That's a little UV torch so you can charge up the lume easily. Nice touch.

Thanks for the pics. Looks great. How do you find the height for wearability ? Look a bit thick (offset by the madness though !! :))

Very thick but the domed sapphire is cool and clearly from the MB&F side.

    Definitely a weekend/annual leave watch.
