    Hopes:
Vacheron Constantin Overseas 39mm stainless steel and thin, but with a man’s bracelet. The current choice of large and so called unisex isn’t cutting it, with the best sized one made only of gold.
Rolex and Omega to offer bracelets without polished centre links as an option on all watches afflicted by polished ones.
All gold Explorer, not for me but it kind of needs to exist.
Rolex Oyster Perpetual 38mm, darker colours.
IWC Genta Ingenieur, kind of like the last one but with out giant crown guards, and a better dial.
Grand Seiko 40mm 9F with an ‘interesting’ dial (even better if 38-39mm).
Grand Seiko Omiwatari with a creamy dial instead of a blueish tint.
A ‘Design your own Moon Swatch’ option with a range of colours, kind of like Converse do for sneakers.

    Predictions:
    None of the above.

    Hopes:

IWC Ingenier and Aquatimer update. Former taking inspiration from Genta era, latter from 3536 or 3538 lines. New Deep Four which is a little more wearable but takes the technical fight to Omega’s Ultra Deep.

Breitling ani-digi range with a new chronospace / exospace, more functionality but using the mecaquartz movement not a smart watch (retrograde idea I know but I’m romantically drawn to this era of tech).

I can't find it again though as I can't remember the name of the colour and it looks like the IWC Instagram post has been deleted!

    Thanks.

Looking at their website I reckon there are several different ceramic launches due in various colours.

    4 colours?

Looks like Tudor are hinting at another collaboration: I don’t get much from it other than it’s something to do with the black bay ceramic:

    ProPilot X - Calibre 400.

"The very lightweight titanium case measures 39mm-wide and 12mm-thick with a lug-to-lug measurement of just about 45mm"

Grey, blue or Salmon (no sign of any pictures of other two).

Yeah, saw a pre embargo image crop up on one site with a white or very light grey pilot chrono so clearly several colours. These have been teased as well.

Also a Tag chrono with a tourbillion. Can't remember if it was the Carrera or Autavia though.

    Hopes:
Tudor update the blue Pelagos with the darker blue from the MN model.
Tudor update and refocus their seemingly unsuccessful dress watch range with a Prince day date. The Style, Glamour and 1926 ranges are way too complicated in terms of size and colours and almost seem to compete with themselves.

Liking the new Pro Pilot and actually surprised I like the Black Bay Pro, though I just don't think circular indices works with the snowflake hands. A Pelagos 58 would be amazing. They'll sell by the bucket load at 39mm regardless of the thickness. It's a sports watch after all.

I liked it until I saw the caseback.

I don’t know if it is just me but, all in all, in my opinion a pretty uninspiring set of releases. Nothing that makes me want to rush out and place an order, also, the left hooker GMT just doesn’t look right to my eye. That said, I’m sure it will still be the next must have unobtainium Rolex.
On a personal note I’m glad that the Titanium Yachtmaster turned out not to be a thing this year…..

So my prediction was exactly right, nothing I wanted.

Apart perhaps from a very faithful re-issue of the VC222, but unfortunately with a 62K Euro price tag in yellow gold only. Perhaps they'd consider making a bio-ceramic one?

Other than that, all a bit meh, unless you want a gold Yachtmaster or a giant GS. Moon Swatch wins!

As the Dutch say, 'They made us happy with a dead sparrow'.

EDIT - the Tudor GMT deserves a mention, assuming it's not too thick. Right size and a nice reference to the the early Explorer II bezel, for many it will work better than the Rolex one. The Oris is sort of 'interesting', in a not quite sure kind of way. And the GS Evo9s are growing on me, not a bad size if 41mm includes the crown guards. Another year with nothing I'll be buying though, unless it's the Swatch - like Will Smith's slap, it's upstaged the whole show.

I know it was predicted by those in-the-know, but I'm really surprised by the revised Air King. The 116900 had a design tie-up with the original Bloodhound SSC which failed financially some years ago (albeit rebooted now) - so I assumed Rolex would sell-off the remaining stock and quietly can that design.

I have to say, though I'm not a Rolex fan, I loved the 116900, and the new 126900 improves all of its shortcomings. If I sold a lot of my collection I could even afford one - but of course there's not an icecube-in-hell's chance I'd be patronisingly allowed to buy one . . . Shame.

The one thing that would make it perfect for me would be a GV green crystal option, as per the Milgauss.

I will consider myself suitably chastened.

Goddammit tho' it looks good now!

Just wish I'd bitten the bullet when the 116900s bobbed down to the £3Kish mark - hindsight is a curse on Watchkind...

    Black
    £7,300

    Black (SFTI)
    £8,550

    White (Lake Tahoe)
    £8,490

    Green (Woodland)
    £9,350

    Blue Angels, Royal Maces, Tophatters

Has anyone spotted the new Tag Aquaracer 1000, coloured bezel and…..
New crown protector like a Panerai??

Premium for “limited edition” over the black. White appears to have steel pushers, crown vs ceramic or coated on the green. Who knows for the squadron models. Perhaps a unit specific contribution to a special fund for each model sold?

Never a hope, since I could never possibly afford/justify one, but absolutely loving AL&S's new Titanium Odysseus -

I've never disliked this divisive design, but the more I see it, the more I actively love it. Definitely high-up the Lottery-win list.

Oh hello, a gold Tissot PRX. And smaller too. They’ve gone a bit too far the other way with 35mm but at €375 in yellow gold PVD that could be quite entertaining, for those of us who can’t quite stretch to the Vacheron Constantin 222 re-release, or Michael Caine’s Oysterquartz.
