Agree. Like the look of the NATO but it's just that bit too much extra on that big a watch. And "bog standard" buckle - just no!

interesting comparison to the chrono. I could handle that one ok - getting more and more to like it

I have had this ceramic and it wears nicely. Currently have this one which is also quite wearable.

Nice to see they use a Vostok style case back….
I really like the Ti version, although the lumed bezel on the orange version looks really cool. I will be having a look at these when they are in the shops

Any news about these hitting the ADs? Would be interesting to see one in the flesh.

Looks lovely facing front, and I like the manta style lugs. But at 18mm high (plus strap) its too tall for me. Admittedly I don't happen to have a spare £10k either

May for the ultra deeps and June for the green Seamaster apparently.

Got a call from Omega Boutique/Beaverbrooks today asking for 10% deposit. Not something I’m willing to do.

6 inch wrists here so would never be able to pull one off. Still, would be cool to try the titanium one on though.

    Ta.

Is that a deposit to go and look at one?! They obviously think playing silly beggars has worked for Rolex so why not join in!

No, the guy said he doesn’t think they’ll have any marketing pieces to show and will just sell any they get. There was a form to email over and sign re the 10 deposit to purchase one but at that point I switched off. The deposit is apparently refundable but Im not sure on the rules/if there was a way for them to keep your 10% if you backed out.

Seem to be trying the Rolex game, although last time they did it with the snoopy they ended up having to refund buyers as they couldn’t supply them.

Whilst I like this, and will buy one at some point, I can’t see them fetching a premium as the size will put many people off (and not many omegas command a premium), so no need for a deposit to secure

So either anticipating - or, more likely, trying to create - demand!

I’ve bought a piece from Omega on that basis. I was assured I could have the 10% deposit returned at any time. Martyn

I don’t think there will be a huge demand for these. I look forward to the usual outlets having them.

Past by the shop in Zürich today as I got invited to see the preseries models. Absolutely gorgeous. Best bracelet EVER. Tapers down to 18 or 16mm. Good weight and not really bigger than my GMT.

Thanks. Interesting to see/read some real life experience. Assumed the titanium version would be the most sought after but maybe the bracelet on the steel will swing opinion.

I like the look of the titanium, but only available on nato, and then to add 2mm to the depth is a big no from me. Don’t understand why the rubber is on a pin buckle rather than deployant, so it is bracelet for me

Looking at real life pictures - only want to get one more. I'll have to get saving. I guess the Ti version is the one to get - but the extra depth added by it means it even taller and with the end links only working with the NATO makes it limited.

I think the steel with bracelet may even be more balanced with the clasp? Will really have to try one on. Interesting comments on the perceived size.

Shame the Ti version doesn’t have a rubber strap option. Great looking watch but I’m not a nato person.

Love the look of the watch but if it's 18mm deep it's too much for me to wear with long sleeves.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

    Not for me.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of any of Omega's recent dive watches (Except the Ploprof) and this just looks fairly generic.

Impressive engineering undoubtedly, but no-one needs 300M let alone 6000!

Saturation diving capability is probably a moot point, too...

The only one that really works for me is the titanium… the rest seem too generic and watered down.

Im a 2500 PO (45mm) owner and looking forward to trying this on, which apparently will be in a couple of weeks time.

If I could pull it off I would get the titanium one and put it on a Zuludiver rubber nato. Would be a great beach watch

I’m first on the list for the steel and Ti versions. It will be interesting to try these (bad boys) out.

Delivery 40-80 days if you don’t mind waiting. I need to try one on - and there are now more options to think of since the Ultra Deep arrived

I was just surprised that someone has nailed their colours to the mast and decided it’s not going to be in demand. Not sure what margin SWD make but possibly looking at them buying in at 20% off.

If I like it I’m buying from SWD. There may be some other resellers in EU I need to consider. But SWD sell ex-VAT outside UK but then on import I will have to pay a bit more. (Sorry different topic)

Very nice, excellent deployant on the bracelet.

I like the black/blue and black/orange, but that white on white is just a wasted opportunity. Why not have black hands and indices against a white dial? Or even a full lume dial? If it's meant to be a serious diver's piece then that combo is definitely a white elephant.

White/white is completely useless as a timepiece.

    Omega Ultra Deep 6000m

Had an interesting hour at the Omega boutique
tried on the pm versions of the speedie, green and panda on straps and bracelet , first impressions the green dial pm speedie isn’t as clear as the panda version.
Then tried on the ultra deep , that definitely works better in ti than steel purely on heft factor alone . The titanium also feels very tactile almost soft , i know that sounds strange ,similar to high grade silicon straps. Both I was told would be available in around 6 months from date of order.
Also the conversation did come around to purchase options and spend for future high demand models . It seems there is now a min spend of between 8,9k to be a preferential customer to be considered for snoopy future models .

So they won’t appear before 2023?! That’s strange, to say the least, when the launch was early March this year.

    Omega Ultra Deep 6000m

Not sure exact times …this was a hands on at the boutique for all new models launched ,to clarify I was told if I placed an order now I would expect delivery in 6 months or so, the snoopys that had been delivered since release at the Birmingham boutique had numbered only 2 so far . I have been on a waitlist for 18 months or so for a snoopy kinda given up hope. Rumours are problems with the mechanism at the display back , who know

The side view of the ultra deep looks comical. I know there’s been some knocking of the thickness of the latest Tudor releases, and I know that this is designed to go to the bottom of the ocean and back out the other side - but seriously, that looks absolutely ridiculous - imho of course

    Omega Ultra Deep 6000m

Agree a very thick watch , but sides are tapered towards the Center of the watch so doesn’t have the slab sidedness of a deep sea
Weight wise it wore very well on the nato and with the titanium not too top heavy.
