    Girard Perregaux Casquette 2.0

Announced today. A recreation of a classic now with a ceramic case and titanium back. Looks good to me but not sure it’s £3.6k good.

At £3.6k the words 'buyer's remorse' spring to mind.

I really like it. But a more realistic price would be sub £1,000 imo.
    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

It’s good to see an LED watch with more functions, but the Hamilton’s 100m water resistance and always on LCD back display are more useful I think. The price is a bit of a barrier but it’s quite a limited run so I suspect it will retain it’s value in the short term at least.

Will there be a cheaper metal version in the future? I suspect so and that might be the one I go for.

    Cool watch. Silly price.

These late 70s / early 80s LED watches seem to be proliferating.

For those who follow Justin Hast on IG he has the watch on his reel and the polished ceramic bevels look superb - I think it's expensive but will likely hold/appreciate in value

    Agree

From checking out the interactive Manual... I was not overly impressed. It was like they could not be arsed.

Overpriced - almost GP stuff is ok, but the arse drops out of them on the secondhand market.

Not this one. Atleast not for a while as all 820 pieces sold out and considerable demand on secondary market.

While I know these asking prices are inflated I can't help feeling stupid for passing on this, even if I'd sold at half of these asking prices I'd have been a happy happy man...

Crazy but expected chrono24 pricing. It's not even that well put together IMO, have a look at the naked watchmaker tear down - https://www.thenakedwatchmaker.com/d...gaux-casquette

I’ve been trying to imagine who could ‘rock this one’ and make it look good. Even that terrible leopard skin diamond Rolex kind of made sense on Steven Tyler. But I’m struggling with this one. A fashion influencer of some kind? Billie Eilish? Kanye? Or more likely, could it be Richard from Silicon Valley, founder of Pied Piper, totally failing to ‘rock it’?

From an aesthetic point of view, I guess it's in a similar category to Urwerk and MB&F etc (although clearly they are a different class of watch from the GP). From what I've seen online, quite a few of the GPs have been purchased by collectors with pretty high end watches so that might go some way to explaining the aspirational Chrono24 pricing. I'd be surprised if any are sold for half of what they're asking but who knows in the watch market.

I think someone has mixed up milliseconds with seconds in the javascript.
