End of the 80's and won't be for some, Neneh Cherry Buffalo Stance,

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWsRz3TJDEY

AND the lovely exotic looking Yazz, The Only Way is UP! another crush thread convergence!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjD3EVC1-zU

Do also have a bit of a soft spot for Rock Me Amadeus.

Surprised, West End Girls hasn't featured in the lists, quite the social commentary on the greedy 80's, great song too.

Listened to Buffalo Stance on the radio last week and couldn't help thinking what a fantastic song it was.

Just imagine, three (half) siblings from Stockholm having such international success completely independent from each other: Neneh, Eagle-Eye Cherry and Titiyo - and then there are at least two professional jazz musicians in the family as well.

I've got most TD stuff, they made loads of records, the ones with one song on each side are the best, long creations with never ending hypnotising rhythms.
And the younger generation think their trance music is something new ;)

An interesting mix of “good” songs that have street cred and others that are cheesy and/or pure pop but which you could listen to over and over again! I’m not admitting to anything!!

Dont know what you’ve got by Cinderella, Tom Keifer had an amazing vocal tone and range, he could almost shout and sing at the same time. Until he blew his vocal chords.

For years I thought that was an original Blancmange song!

I prefer this version, but it's still a very good ABBA track - Their more somber tracks are definitely some of their best.

I saw 10,000 Maniacs once in around 1988/89 but I cannot recall where. I've seen Natalie Merchant several times, the last time being in Cheltenham on a very hot evening in July 2018 which was superb.

Lot of old MOR type stuff on here (although honourable shout out to Nibby) you can play in the background at your dinner parties.

You can tell it's a watch forum.

Haven't any of you heard of The Clash? Should I stay or should I go?

    Sonic Youth? Teenage riot.

    Dinosaur Jr? Freak scene

    Stone Roses? Waterfall.

    The Smiths? This charming man.

    Love all the above.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

Don't stop believin' by Journey - top at the time, and 'discovered' by younger generations.

Unbelievably - it takes over 3 minutes into the song - to get to the chorus 'don't stop believin............................'

    Classic !
