Maybe rename this thread to top 100 songs of the Eighties?

At least half the posts have songs that make me think "Oh yeah, that was a great song!"

    Sorry, can't decide between them.

Life During Wartime - Talking Heads

Once in a Lifetime - Talking Heads

Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I’m stuck in the 80’s 90’s as I was between the ages of 6 -26 and music of this era was so memorable as was TV/films, I’m not going to say music now is crap in comparison because that’s what old blokes say!

I’m more rock based so Bon Jovi, GNR, Van Halen etc were my thing, that said I appreciate most music from this era more now than I did at the time.

While not the greatest songs I remember having a crush on Vanessa Paradis - Joe Le Taxi after seeing her on Top of the Pops as I did Martika with Toy Soldiers, Madonna -Get into the Groove era and a few others!

Looking back, I can’t choose as there is so many but -
Run to You - Bryan Adam’s
    Boys of Summer
    Living on a prayer
    Wild Boys
    Video killed the Radio Star
And loads more will always be played start to finish if they come on the radio…

    Video Killed the radio star

I remember as a young teenager visiting family in london and their kids had it playing constantly.

Pub quiz Friday… it was the first song played on MTV.
