Lodge Recommendations in Lake District Please

I'm looking for a pet friendly lodge (plus 2 adults) for three nights in April. I don't know the Lake District but as we want to be in walking distance of civilisation; pubs, cafes, coffee shops etc, I'm thinking Keswick or Windermere areas.

    Can anyone recommend anywhere please?

    Many thanks.

We stayed here in the summer.

It was a really good base to explore the Lakes, it’s pet friendly although there wasn’t too much within walking distance.

It’s not a lodge per se but I can heartily recommend Dome House in Bowness.

We stayed in the Apartment with two small dogs and it was really great. Lovely space, own front door straight into the garden for the pups, plus you can still use the main communal areas including the pool and wonderful garden with views over the water.

It’s a short walk into town or up onto the fell behind and with a proper kitchen, good for self-catering.
