Incoming - Lange Odysseus White Gold

Over the past 10 years, I’ve considered purchasing a Lange, specifically the Lange 1, but never did. I think I realised I didn’t need another dress watch. However launch of the Odysseus did get my interest. I wasn’t keen on the bracelet of the steel version (and had no chance of purchasing it!), but the white gold with grey dial
    and rubber strap really appealed.
I put an expression of interest down in December 2020 and yesterday got an email to say one had arrived for me.
So here it is. I know the styling is controversial but I really like it. The rubber strap is comfortable and sporty and the gold gives it some heft.
The Lange Boutique did say the supply is really bad at the moment. They only had 2 Lange 1 of any description in stock which is rare. They also had only 3 WG Odysseus arrive in 2021 and had to close the waiting list for quite a while.

That my friend, is awesome! To me better than the bracelet version. Lucky you!

Fantastic. I much prefer the gray dial on the white gold model to the blue dial. The radial striation (if that's the correct term) around the edges is gorgeous. I'm also a massive fan of the day / date symmetry.

It's a shame both versions of the Odysseus are so hard to get hold of, much like so many other high end watches. Congratulations to you!

Thanks everyone. It’s still on my wrist, really very impressed. It’s surpassed my expectations, obviously exceptional quality but it also wears so well and has unique character. The Lange Boutique were really good, very friendly - nice to be able to get a watch like this as my first Lange.

What are the concentric circles on the end links? Is it a quick release strap?

Correct. I prefer the look of the rubber strap to the bracelet which is on the steel version. The rubber strap also fits very well.

Looks amazing versatile on the rubber strap. A proper stunner, congrats.

Wow, delicious! Such a versatile and cool watch and in my opinion beats the AP and Patek (I own the VC so I'd put it on par in theory, but in reality I'd swap in a heartbeat!).

Is that first picture a different watch then?

Thanks was confused by talk of a bracelet version.

Anyway, great looking watch but personally prefer it on the bracelet - not keen on end links like that on rubber.

That is absolutely fantastic! I certainly prefer the WG to the SS version. Did you buy this from a Lange boutique or a larger jeweller that sells many brands? I've often considered asking somewhere like Owen & Robinson if they can order one in a moment of idle frivolity as it's local and I've bought an 1845 Chrono from them previously, but it's not on their website.

It was from the Lange boutique. I’ve had decent success with the brand specific boutiques recently. The Omega Boutique supplied me with both the 321 and Snoopy last year.

Gorgeous watch, always loved precious metal and rubber.
It looks huge, or do you have small wrists?
