Very OT : The kids are more robust than we realise - Proud dad moment

Despite a couple of years that have been very hard on her and her brother, our daughter has managed to create and perform the music for a short film, and is on the verge of releasing her EP on multiple streaming platforms

Mostly done when she was 16, she's now 17 and hoping to study music production at uni

It would make a big difference to her if she had as many hits on her pre-save or pre-ad before it comes on on the 13th

No cost to you, just means the tracks appear on your stream without searching

    https://ditto.fm/be-free-bizza

    Thanks in advance

    Simon

Is there any way to pre-save using another provider? It appears to be restricted to Spotify, Apple, Tidal or Deezer

Excellent! Like you, my 16yr old grandson has been composing mostly dance music in his bedroom studio and has done some amazing tracks.
He's studying music composition and studio work at college.
Recently was contacted by Abi Flynn to assist her music.
He uses Sound Cloud to listen to his music.

That's brilliant to hear, she’s done immensely well.

    I’ve hit the Deezer button.

That B/W picture of her. Only the clothing she wears, shows that the pic wasn't taken in the 60s, the era of great bands! Photoshopping a pair of bellbottoms into the pic and it's an old one. And did she do the artwork for the 'cover' (or how it's named these days)?

Please remind us when the music is available, and I'll have a listen. If I try to pre-save on Spotify, then the service asks for some pretty brutal permission!

Use it as an opportunity to switch to another music provider

    Thanks Menno

She started doing open mic nights aged about 15, her own songs with some pedals and attitude, picture is from the Harcourt arms in Oxford

Playing an acoustic version of a Foo Fighters song at a folk night as she didn’t know what folk was, was a highlight

Her friend from school did the artwork, and another friend has shot a video that will appear on Vevo etc at some point.

The video was payment in kind for her doing the sound and writing and performing the music for a short student film - horror themed

They really don't need my help or input!

Thanks to all of you for the positive vibes!

I have just listened and absolutely loved it.

I am not sure what her main influences are, but I would hazard a guess at:

    The xx
    Massive Attack
    London Grammar

There was even a vague hint of The Streets and Portishead in there too.

    Superb.

Thats really kind of you - thanks a lot and I'll pass it on, it will mean a huge amount to her that folk are enjoying her music

You are spot on re the influences

Plus some Burial, a bit of Squarepusher etc etc and a guy called Ross from friends (I think)

Interview / audition at LIPA in the near future, and these tracks will form part of the application

LIPA place offered after interview/ audition

    Bandcamp also now active https://bizzamusic.bandcamp.com/releases

I listen via Apple Music having recently migrated from Spotify. I thought I'd have a quick listen to a track or two but was hooked on the first track and have listened to the whole EP. You have an extremely talented daughter, but you know that. When you look at many famous artists/groups they produce their best work at a young age unencumbered by social norms e.g. Led Zeppelin wrote all of their most famous tracks before they were aged 23.

I truly wish her the very best with her music and whatever else she decides to turn her hand to.
