Didn't she look comfortable with the ball! I have seen international players not catching as cleanly as when she was hoist heavenwards as part of the press call announcing her appointment as patron of the RFU, and also the RFL. To be fair I don't think she weighs as much as Bill Beaumont.

There can be no doubt that Megan has suffered from racism, and being mixed race more than likely from both directions. But her and Harry's hypocrisy have done them no favours.

Surely, yes. Strangely enough people nowadays get to decide which designation is acceptable to them, and which isn’t.
In this case I refer you to the contemporary usage of the word in Wikipedia, as used by the beeb itself.
In my case it was used to highlight the contrast because -in my understanding- you misused descendants instead of ancestors, thus addressing Kate’s children.

I didn’t criticise either of them I just pointed out the difference in how a self made woman is perceived to a woman who appears to have lived off her parents wealth. One is referred to as a gold digging wench the other isn’t.
I am not aware of anyone making reference to Kates ethnic background but many have made reference to Megs.

I think my point, with that correction, still stands.
Some undoubtedly have made derogatory remarks based on MM's ancestry, but most dislike her on the strength of her apparent behaviour.
I'm not a fan, although I can't pretend to know what's gone on in her life, but she was a minor part actress in a TV show before marrying Prince William.
Self-made millionaire? Well, possibly, but mostly on the strength of courting controversy recently it would seem, rather than being a wealthy woman who married a Prince a la Grace Kelly.
This is why MM is unpopular, not because she is black, white, short, tall or a Martian.
Being branded as racist for criticising her is akin to being accused of anti-Semitism for criticising the Israeli government, but that happens all the time, too.

I think we mostly agree. There are many reasons to like or dislike anyone. In everyday life it doesn’t really matter.
However when you become suddenly* a celebrity, it becomes a completely different ball game. It used to be played by proxy, through a gutter press and its army of paparazzi; it is not played by everyone on social media. And the algorithms allow you to find likeminded people that reinforce your perception (or preconceptions).
So the haters army will be made up of many different divisions: there are those who won’t like her for the reasons you mentioned, those who won’t because she is American (and divorced, there is a precedent in the Royal family) and yes, more than a few will dislike her because she is not white.
In total it makes for a lot of people, therefore a lot of posts, tweets, insta, etc. and I have no doubt it is very difficult to endure, even if you’re thick skinned.
And playing the race card is probably a valid defence because it may stop some from continuing (those for who skin colour was not an issue) to avoid being tainted by the same brush.
* she was relatively well known in the US, although not part of Hollywood A-listers, and totally unknown here.
