    Seiko ‘Nautilus’

What do you think to this? Never considered a modded watch before but quite like this one.

It’s nice enough but lacks the finesse of the real thing. Still, if it’s cheap enough…

Not for me every time i would look at my wrist i would want the real deal as with any of these “ homages”

I've had the real thing and 5 of its siblings. Even at the prices they were then, you're permanently fearful of knocking it and marking the bezel. Spoiled the enjoyment for me. Wish I'd kept them though!

I think it's really smart and no doubt an excellent watch for people who could never consider the real deal.

Jack Hypoxia on IG does these amongst many others.

Edited to add, these are not to my liking. I'm just highlighting the work that Jack does (no affiliation other than an interest in what he can do).

I'm not seeing the resemblance myself. That said, for those that do, always nice to have alternative options.

I think these are too much of a homage, like the ones in Rolex cases with Rolex bezels but Seiko on the dial - I can’t see the appeal

I quite like it, but the round dial with nautilus shape case looks a bit weird

Currently debating building one. I've bought a dial but cant decide if i'll get on with the case as i have small wrists.

Where did you get the dial from?

Ali Express. Not genuine Seiko as they dont make one in this colour/style.

You need to close both your eyes to see it. The OP's suggestion looks more like an Aquanaut to me.

Thanks. Trying to stick to genuine parts. Back to the drawing board!

How's it any different from a Cadisen?

Feels like snobbery if people sneer at Chinese clones and praise the same thing with Seiko on the dial.
