I'm not sure if it's optimism desperation, recklessness ( or grief from Mrs Beanie), but thoughts have turned to a decent holiday at the end of the year.
This will be to replace my twice cancelled 60th birthday bash, the plan being Christmas in Singapore, NYE in Sydney ( dinner cruise on the harbour), vist friends in Brisbane, maybe Cairns, and a week in Lankwawi for my actual birthday (59+2). We are reasonably OK with sorting out our itinerary and in the past have relied on a group insurance policy, but with various countries requiring specific cover for covid treatment, and the probable cost of the bookings being well over 10k, I am thinking a more tailored policy might be more appropriate.
If anyone has gone for a big one recently, or is planning one, I would be grateful for any thoughts.
