Thanks for sharing that, I’m a fan of the BRM and I knew they were working on this car, just the noise is incredible

What a lovely feat of engineering and craftsmanship.

Nipper and I stood and watched (and heard!) that fire up and rev at Bicester last Sunday. Incredible thing and the engineering up close it more like an art installation. Staggering machine.

Funnily enough, Mrs. B and I were at Bicester last Sunday too, having our neck hairs stood on end by this…

What a stunning thing and what a beautiful noise. I must get myself back to Goodwood sometime soon.

Ah the old rover 200 with an orange wart, used to have one too, I did love the ridiculously over the top quilted leather interior and aluminium fan knobs etc… made what was a rusty turd of a rover rather nice

I can’t quite remember, but very likely yes. I used to have a number of MGR cars and always got them worked on by Dreadnought. In fact, Paul ended up buying this car off me when I put it in for a service !!

Macca, those turds are now fetching strong money… wish I’d kept it now. The red quilted interior was an acquired taste !!

I know! Randomly I know a river enthusiast who has rescued 3 now at last count, a hot hatch to hang on to.. but my god.. rover build quality and rust
Keen engine though the 1.8 was always the most peppy of the vvc units

LSD and the bizarre gearing actually made it a pretty good beginners track car. Could hit 70mph in 2nd gear. Around Knockhill racing circuit, you rarely had to change in to anything above 3rd gear which meant you could concentrate on your lines.

Never been on a track in one, back when I was an apprentice with no buddy I had a 200vi that was a half decent car to drive but bits fell off regularly
