Don't just do something, sit there. - TNH
Got it in 2 today which is my best so far.
that was a real pain, could have easily been a decent result.

Didn’t know that you could use the same letter twice so couldn’t finish it from my 2nd attempt “about”.
The same letter used twice is what threw me yesterday, cheeky monkeys. It went unsolved.
This morning I got 4/5 letters correct on my first guess, solved in two! The word I tried first isn't one I've used before, it just popped into my head as I opened the app, really weird.
4 for me this morning. Quality word too 😆
All 6 for me, as my brain refused to let me go there as it being a word they would be used.
Managed it in four today which seems to be my average. I’ve been mentioning it to kids of people since I started playing it at the beginning of the week. I love it.

Managed it in two today. Total fluke, but my pride shows I obviously don’t have a much else going on in my life. Haha. No need to comment.

4 today, again I got pretty lucky with my first word and filled the middle three letters.
Four for me today again. Two is my lowest attempt and six my highest but I have managed to get all six I’ve tried so far. I do start to get twitchy if I don’t have it after four attempts though.
6 days in, got four of them in 3, the other two in 5. Quite enjoying it.

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day
introduced GF to it after doing a couple of days myself. She now hates me as she simply didn't get it at first and then spent ages doing it without success.
I did it in 3; another reason I'm not popular today
quite enjoying this as it is a quick process and gets the grey stuff working.
First attempt today

I like this game because depending on your word choice what's hard for you might be easy for someone else.
I got today in 3 which felt great as I only has one letter, the vowel, in the right place and the other letter could have gone anywhere. I chose the word more for the letters it would eliminate rather than because I thought it was right.
Quite tough one today (Monday) - needed 5.
First one I’ve failed. 😕
Good one today. Managed it in 4
Bloody hard! Last guess for me, I only had two letters correct and one in the wrong place - took ages trying to suss out a word with the weird set of unused letters I had left.
So much depends on how you start. (I have not done it yet today)

Enjoying some beginner's luck having tried my first one yesterday. 3 and a 4 so far
In 5 today and a lot of head scratching halfway through. Very enjoyable though.
Tricky today - got there in 5 but not an easy one.
Trickier today…

Really tough one today. After submitting my 4th word I still only had 2 letters correct and what seemed to be a strange set of impossible letters left, it took me 5.
Tough indeed. Got it in 4:

First time trying today after getting my head around the rule. Fun game to warm the brain up.
Got it in 5 in the end. Wasn't 100% about the rules, for example being able to use the same letter twice, or not !
My first 6 today, as my two standard start words, which take out 38.46% of the alphabet and account for 56.6% of letter frequencies were all blank. Grrrrrr.

Annoyed by my first ever six, I decided to create a spreadsheet, using an English letter frequency table, to determine possible useful start words. The first I happened upon was from Cornell University.
Using Excel’s XLOOKUP function, I created a spreadsheet which can “score” start words by adding the component letters’ frequency percentages. While this is clearly not going to assist with all Wordle games, as today’s has shown, it may be of use.
My personal favourite (before creating this sheet) was, FEAST.
F E A S T 37.82 2.3 12.02 8.12 6.28 9.1
Here are some others that have been suggested in this thread, as useful start words:
A D I E U 34.65 8.12 4.32 7.31 12.02 2.88 T H I R D 32.67 9.1 5.92 7.31 6.02 4.32 A I R E D 37.79 8.12 7.31 6.02 12.02 4.32 E A R T H 41.18 12.02 8.12 6.02 9.1 5.92 S O A R E 40.12 6.28 7.68 8.12 6.02 12.02 A U D I O 30.31 8.12 2.88 4.32 7.31 7.68
As you can see Earth provides most coverage, in frequency terms. What then could be the best start word using this frequency table? Well the best I could come up with is: ATONE - 43.87
Letter frequency is probably less important than letter/word patterns in solving Wordle but, it's a good starting point.

Tough one today.
A 5 for me too. Took until the fourth go just to get one letter in the right place. Also took me a hours to get through as I seemed stumped to even think of the words for the letters I had. Still, it’s no fun if it’s easy.

5 today for me, the jammy wife 4.
As SJ observed the start really matters...Only tried my first one yesterday, 5 as well, fun though.

Got it in 4 today but was much happier with the 5 I managed in Absurdle.
Now that's a hard game!
Not as tricky as yesterday

Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.
Got it in 2 today! Such a small thing but made my day start with a smile.
Six days in and not had anything worse than a 5 (that was yesterday which was tricky). Only a matter of time before it falls apart though. Still waiting for my first two.
Using 5 letter words and 6 guesses, I'm not sure it will fall apart and I think thats why the game is so successful...a good 3-5 minute daily diversion that makes you feel like you might not have got it before you succeed. The creator also got it right making sure you could only play once every 24-hours.
