Tricky one today. I was lucky with an outside bet on my third word, otherwise it could have gone very wrong.
phew 5 today, I reckon they've become more challenging.
I got it in 4 today but it was probably the hardest one I've done and took a lot of thinking about!

Something really strange going on with today’s wordle. I got it in 4 and then looked over at my daughter’s phone to see how she was getting on. She has 3 green letters but strangely she has a different letter in green in position 4?! The other correct letters are the same. I am now on the NY times version and she is still on the power language.Co.uk version but letters are the same ?

5 goes, that's a personal worst if I remember correctly. But it only took five minutes.
The powerlanguage URL redirects to the NY Times site anyway - they should be the same.

A four for me, but I got two letters out of place in my first line, then four letters out of place in my second line which narrowed the choices down massively, pure luck.
EDIT: Apparently there are two words today! I never would have guessed the other other one.

As you say two different puzzles today, the one I had was a word I have never previously heard.
I think the strength of the puzzle is that it’s always a mainstream word none of those scrabble nonsense words.
I read the article Raffe provided a link for and did some reading of my own and it seems that the NY times version will be mainstream words only and that they are gradually removing the obscure stuff.
Think the solutions have always been mainstream words. There's a second, more comprehensive, set which attempts are checked against. They (and future answers) can all be found on our PCs!

The other word today wasn't mainstream, not to me anyway. And NYT have stated they are gradually removing less mainstream words to make the puzzle more accessible.

No indeed. The mainstream word which I got in four was the NYT one, the obscure word was on the original platform apparently.
