Poor effort this morning.
I had my first go at Wordle today and guessed the word in 3.
(Pasting in the result gives gibberish!)
Not too shabby for a first go, I guess.
Is there a technique people use for this? Always using the same starter word, maybe?

I've not had a two liner yet, but many threes and fours and the odd five. Had a few sixes before I started using the same starter word, don't know if that's related or if I'm just getting a little better at the game.

‘Audio’ is a good shout as it covers 4 vowels. ‘Soare’ is another good one as I think getting an S out the way with 3 vowels is good, though I went for ‘space’ this morning which meant I did it in 2. I also look at the previous few days words and try and pick different letters, though it’s all a bit of luck on the 1st guess.
I’m waiting patiently for them to use Crypt :-)
SOARE is my first. I also like THINK and PLUMB as a second and or third guess depending on what comes out. With those three words I reckon you’d get almost anything in four guesses

Yep, shows that sometimes all we are left with is luck. There were four possible words, all as likely as each other to be 'the one' when I had two lines left.Same (although it was 6 for me).

I normally go for SCALE followed by INTRO or NITRO depending on the result of SCALE. That covers four vowels and they are apparently the ten most frequently used letters in the English language (albeit they may not be the most frequent ten in five letter words).
