Have fun, although I'm fairly sure I'd be wearing a Casio. ;-)

My ski watch is the seiko solar chrono on a long nato which I wear over my jacket sleeve.
I'll look for a pic, I took some 5 years ago...
Enjoy the slopes!

I am skiing now and am wearing my Breitling Aerospace, lightweight, fairly easy to read, second time zone and not as valuable as some other choices! In fact, in the winter, I often leave it on BST on the main time zone for this very reason.
Wear a watch which you don’t worry about getting nicked off your wrist when in transit to A&E or while there...................
Same advice for your last watch when going into a care home.
Sounds like some of you think skiing will be hazardous for both me and the Explorer ... I have have no hesitation wearing a nice watch skiing ... it's what they were made for as per the advertisement in the OP.
I fall over a lot, so I usually wear a G-Shock.
I agree that most sports watch will be able to cope with skiing. It could of course hit a rock in a fall but if that was the case, the watch could be very low down on the list of your main concerns.
I have no statistics as to the amount of desirable watches stolen while you are incapacitated, whether too drunk or anaesthetised, but I imagine that's not very different from any other similar circumstances in everyday life.
In other words, wear what you want. I'd recommend wearing it inside rather than on your outer sleeve, mainly to avoid snagging it.
'Against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain' - Schiller.
I wear it as normal on the wrist. Strapping a watch outside the jacket isn’t my style.
wot no Nautic-Ski?
Not seen that, is there such a thing as a ski specific watch?
Edit. Can see any …

Note the reference to Rolex being first up Everest ... amazing how common that tale is repeated.

Very envious... We were going to the French Alps for Christmas but Omicron got in the way.
Hoping to get out there with a watch next year, but meanwhile wondering how a Fitbit activity tracker deals with skiing - anyone know?
Always take something nice skiing. My view is it's under a massive ski jacket - it can handle that. Have had plenty of falls too and, touch wood, no issues.
Oh, and this is me post-après (après-après?), worse for wear, still in my base layer, having my nails painted by a chalet girl, rocking my Schofield Signalman PR on a NATO. Standard.
As they said on the IT Crowd 'Street Countdown' episode, "It can get quite cold!"
Best to have the right equipment for the job.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Shamefully..
Garmin Fenix for the elevation and speed data.
I did ponder buying one of these, the justification being, “it’s for skiing”. Has a kind of snow vibe, and it’s tough

I almost lost a Cartier roadster chrono when skiing, the QR bracelet well, released, without my knowing. Luckily I spotted the problem before it fell from my wrist, and it was under the cuff of my jacket. G shock all the way after that.

I always wear my Breitling Aerospace Avantage when skiing for all the same reasons that I originally bought it when flying for a living in the years before smartphones; everything is on your wrist: easy to read in all conditions, dual time, alarm to warn you that others will be getting up and creating a racket and you'll be awake anyway, and a stopwatch so I can time how long it is before a TZ thread descends into a petty argument. A good job it increments in 100ths of a second!
I know, quite surprising that the brands have not tried to make a skiing watch given the relatively likely demographic overlap between skiing types and people who buy nice watches.
I guess the reality is smart/gps watches are the only things that are giving perhaps any useful data.
I just want the time …
A Rolex Daytona, 'Jean Claud-Killy' would fit in nicely IMHO.
Linde Werdelin created a ski instrument add on for its watches. They called it "The Rock". I'd be amazed if they sold any - it's insane. But it was...erm...an idea!
