Excellent result for the charities and well done to all who donated. A special congratulations to Mr Curta for organising and of course Laura for providing the inspiration. I had a great time scrolling slowly through the draw this morning over a cup of tea, the suspense was very real.

    TZ at its best.

Congratulations to all concerned what a great outcome all round.....except I didn't win

I'd become a bit disenchanted with the forum and some of the cobblers spouted of late.....but this has made me realise that all that is just opinions at the end of the day. In reality this forum is full of people with basically kind hearts.

    Well done all

I noticed we were £60 short of 10000 quid. I thought it would be nice to achieve that, so I put in a tenner. Now it’s only £50 short. Come on TZ, we can do it!

Another £100 from the auction of my prize: https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...new-and-unused

Should bring us safely on the other side of £10,000

    What a result!

ELJ25 has kindly requested that the Snap-on LED150 Multi-tool 12th place prize be returned to the raffle pot for someone else to enjoy.

I've just generated another number excluding the 15 already drawn, using: https://commentpicker.com/random-number-generator.php

    The number returned was 383 - catch21

    Neilw3030 will be in touch!

Good evening all, ddm27 has very kindly requested that I sell his prize on this forum, with the funds being distributed to a few charities, one of which being Eddie's fund raiser I do believe.

Expect a FS thread when I have confirmation of ddm's wishes.

    Cheers all

    It's not quite over yet...

There are a couple of very nice additional items provided by very thoughtful and generous members, currently offered on SC to boost the total.

If either of these takes your fancy, head over there for a butcher's.

After a proper Odyssey and with the kind support of Paul, the watch had found its way to me and I'm properly chuffed with it :D

And, you know, the watch is lovely, but the whole story associated with it is something else. This is a keeper and a joy for lots of non horological reasons :)

    Cheers,
    Christian

That's fantastic news Christian, and and as the dust has finally settled it is an appropriate moment to announce the total raised.

It has greatly exceeded our wildest hopes, we are absolutely blown away and cannot thank everybody involved enough. This is a very special forum.

Now please, if you can, head over to this fantastic charity raffle to support humanitarian aid for Ukraine. There are fabulous prizes on offer and you will be helping those who really do need it the most at the moment.

    --- EDIT ---

This message from JustGiving just just landed. You are all heroes!
