Does your drinking water come from a river? A report in my local newspaper may cause you some worries:-

I saw this discussed on tv recently, may have been QI. Misconception is that it’s from birth control pills but the vast majority is from animal manure reaching the waterways, one of the unwanted side effects of modern intensive farming.
