Thanks for the heads-up, I've just ordered the 'Tranquility' grey/black one. Since seeing the Pelagos FXD I've fancied trying a velcro strap that isn't marketed at surfers (ie; the cheap ones you can pick up on eBay branded with brightly coloured logos) and this looks just the job in material, design and price!

I swear, every time there is a ZuluDiver discount heads up, I always end up buying yet more straps I don’t need. Why mess with tradition! Ordered a couple, many thanks!

    Thanks for that - you've cost me £48 !

Ordered 3 straps, around midday yesterday - and they arrived this morning at 09:00 !!

Top service and they look great.

I am a recent convert to webbing straps - they are so comfortable and also put less stress on the springbars.

Another way to look at it, is that you have saved £48!

I feel they have missed a trick in showing more detailed photos in how it all fits. Both On the wrist and on the watch case.

I only bought one of the velcro straps, and when talking about the 'less strain on springbars' - that referred only to webbers which run behind the watchback (commonly known as NATOs I think)

I have never had a Velcro strap before but the Horizon for £12 seems a good place to start. Thanks for the heads up.

I'd give these a go at this price, but unfortunately I'd want it for my Black Bay and I don't think any here would match the colourway. Odd they've given some pretty far out colour mixes but no simple black option!

Ordered Sunday evening, arrived yesterday. Really please with it, comfortable and infinitely adjustable. Might get a few more. Stitching not top notch but well worth the money

Mine arrived today - went for the Aurora. For £12 i think its a great addition.

    Mine arrived.

I’m 8 inch wrist and the Velcro sits halfway on the fuzzy bit.

    Not a dealbreaker for me.

    Super comfortable strap.

Nice combo Tony. I went for Andromeda. Our wrists are the same size so mine should fit very nicely as yours does.

EDIT - can you believe this? I just checked my email for the order date and noticed I'd ordered a 22mm when I need a 20mm!! What a plonker :(

Mine arrived look good at the sale price.

Now I need to decide which watches need velcro.

I am spending too much time on this forum!

Last night I dreamt that I visited the ‘Head Office’ of WatchGecko/ZuluDiver and the CEO allowed me to try a few of these Lunar straps on my SPB143. We talked about watches and TZUK. After trying some and taking my time it appeared he was late for a family function and had to dash. He politely told me to keep the strap but it was clear he wanted me out of there. Perhaps a break is required

Yep! That’s the one! I got it because of the lack of GMT 2s but, to be honest, it’s an absolute gem and I prefer it to the Rolex - it goes all around the world with me. While there’s always a risk of being mugged it’s a lot lower than wearing a Rolex in some of the slightly dodgier places I go to.

The red is a pretty good match. Strap isn’t quite as exotic as some of the other colour ways here, but is very comfy, and for £12, I certainly can’t complain.

    Cheers

At the risk of being negative, mine arrived today and I'm not a fan. The short buckle piece was rather uncomfortable on my wrist.

I originally had the same problem, and thought it was the short buckle piece irritating my wrist. Turned out to be some rough stitching, so I flipped the piece over and now it is 100 times comfier. Perhaps give that a try?

One of life hacks right there. Try that in many other aspects of life too.

Hmmm. At around 8 1/4”/215mm I fear I might be out of luck. 😟

  50. #50
    Yep, I agree.

8 inches seems to be the limit of the natural fold to pick up all of the fuzzy bit of velcro.

You could force a fold and and only grip with part of the 'hook' bit.
