I’m sure they have added 3k onto that since yesterday!

    I’m positive it was £69.5 K when I looked .
Got to wonder who they are aiming at with this level of pricing.
Its a beauty but would still be expensive at half the price .

At least they have dropped the LTD nonsense.

While they are attempting to push the brand higher, at that price there are sooo many better watches.

I think it looks great. Best looking Speedmaster I’ve seen in a long time. The price is a whole different matter though.

No thanks. That's more than the platinum speedy, although that one comes with a strap.

It's also good they are paying homage to grand seiko by ruining the case back with a logo.

My first thought too. I can't understand how anyone in the design process thinks that's a desirable addition to the watch..!

I really hope that Omega is not going the way of Rolex, with waiting lists and requirements to by tat before you get to the desirable models.
That would be a very disappointing step for this manufacturer.

    I dint think there’ll be a waiting list for a £72k Speedmaster!

It was definitely £69.5k when I ordered mine...

And please, it's not white gold. That would be ridiculous at that price point. CANOPUS!

If I had that sort of money to spend, I'd rather get a Lange & Sohne 1815 Flyback Chronograph!

To be referred to in future as the Omega "Dusty Bin" or "Ted Rogers" edition............

Well - if they can do it with Hulks and Kermits....................

For as common a watch as a black faced Speedy is, I wouldn’t be fussed whether it is new or used really. Ok, with the recent price rises, 4k will bag you a nice one. There have certainly been enough Speedies sold on TZ at 3.x k.

I haven't quite found out what Canopus gold is exactly (nor do I care), but it looks like their mission was 'let's come up with a type of gold that looks as much like stainless steel as possible'.

Apparently omega is moving away from limited edition to limited production.

Nice watch but not 70k nice

I thought I’d misread the price at first. What exactly makes it worth that much? It can’t be the materials surely. The steel one is £12k on their website so that makes the Canopus over £60k more. I don’t get it. It must be that bezel colour difference (joking of course).
