It has to be my 3919. Looking to finally add a mechanical Speedmaster to my collection in 2022.
As i have in past years show your favourite acquisition of this year?
For me it’s been a quiet for out of necessity but still super pleased to get a Speedie back in the collection!
So mine is

Definitely the Omega Aqua Terra Chrono.

Despite there being plenty to choose from it was an easy decision to make.
Perhaps the coolest dial I have seen on a watch.
Has to be this ..........

Has to be my 1973 (birth year) single red sub, from an exceptional forum member. I’ve actually stopped wearing anything other than a garmin recently but this always gets a look in when I go for a “proper” watch.
Probably my GS SBGX335 received in May 2021
Pretty much my go to watch these days... but I recently received this...
IWC Pilot’s Mark XVIII Edition “Antoine De Saint Exupery" IW327003
Tough call

Picked up for an absolute bargain, I adore it.

Gotta be this one, stupidly sold my first one after five years of ownership and instantly regretted it.
Surprisingly I’d say my Explorer would be my favourite from this year. So simple and comfortable…

Had a few incomings but this is my favourite:

This by a long shot. Madness

Tricky. I’m torn between my Sinn U1, Damasko DC56 and Explorer, but by the smallest of margins, I think it’s this.

Quite a few ins and outs but my favourite is definitely the 38mm black ceramic GP Laureato. Got it as a complement to the RO and I didn't have to give one of my kidneys to fund it.

Definitely my GWG-2000
In a year I’ve bought a number of watches. Including a couple of Rolex, Sinn, Omega and Damasko. It is just brilliant.
Only one addition for me in 2021.

I've only kept two watches which were acquired in 2021. A Sinn U1 and a Blancpain FF. Of these the FF is the least likely to be moved on, at the moment, so must be the favourite of the two.
Only a couple of acquisitions during 2021, so my first, and probably last, Rolex has to be my favourite:

Out of my 3 incomings during 2021 I think it's this one.
Cheers,

Probably this one, Im a serial flipper, so always plenty of watches going in and out!.
I would say, this Aqua Terra though, just love it. Not tried it on a leather strap yet though.
Most definitely my Panerai 328- Been on a bit of a Pam quest in 2021, bought a few different models but always felt something was missing, had previously been an Omega man, mainly wearing them on bracelets so Panerai felt a little weird at first without a bracelet option. Stumbled across the 328 and instantly loved the 1950 case, with it having the bracelet I get the best of both worlds, in my eyes a perfect combo.
Toss up between two models of MM300, but probably the SBDX012

My only one this year. It wasn't even on my radar a month ago until I saw a thread on here where two owners shared pictures of it and I thought 'ooh, I like that....' and the rest is history
Glad to report I'm really warming to it...superb dial!

Probably the last one I bought in 2021 - there were many in and out across the year but 2 remained. Speedie Mk2 re-issue, and this GS.
Tough call between them, but Japan’s No.1 has not left the wrist since purchase, and do not see that changing soon - I am more than pleased with it.

3 Acquisitions in 2021.
Rolex Milguass, Rolex Day Date and a Zenith Captain Moon phase.
Have to say Day Date is my favourite followed closely by the Zenith.
Think this one just edges it for me
I guess it’s this one
But this one runs it close
Definitely the 16570
Happy new year!
It is probably this for me, just because it surprised me so much; +2/3 secs per day, the quality/price ratio is superb and it looks good; imho. One of the cheapest too.
My goodness, I’ve just realised I didn’t buy a watch during 2021.
Does this mean I’m cured?
Either of these...
Or maybe this..
I've got a 70's dive watch vibe going on

I originally started looking at a 233 in may, I was at my parents when I noticed a good one on eBay, full service history and a ton of straps for 6k, I negotiated it down to ,£5.7k and paid using PayPal. I then found out that the seller wanted a face to face and didn't want PayPal as they were worried it would be reversed etc, I wasn't prepared to risk bank transfer, we agreed to leave it and I cancelled the order.
I was trawling eBay in October when I spotted the same watch for sale, same seller and everything, I emailed the seller to check they would send and would accept PayPal. They confirmed they would and I stuck a bid in not unlike my previous agreed price, ended up winning it at £5.3k
Waited 10 days as it went through authentication and then it arrived, well happy and my favourite watch of the year

How could you forget that beauty. I once saw one exactly like that (several years ago now)with a BIN price of £400, I dithered and then it was sold, still carry the regret as it was immaculate including the case back which is rare on that model with gold case.
Congratulations on that pick up sir, absolutely beautiful.
This
I had never owned a Sub.
I can't tell you how excited I was when the AD rang
It has to be my 1815 Annual
calendar. There are plenty of different watches to this but I’m not sure they come any better…
