Thread: Most worn of '21

  1. #51
    Probably my 16570.

  2. #52
Having thought about it I have to admit the shocking conclusion is that this is my 'most worn' of last year.

The reason being that it's my go-to 'beater' and last year was dominated by DIY stuff, so by default it was worn 24/7 at home. For socialising I'd wear anything else - and I'd usually put something else on for the Friday thread and wear that for a couple of hours - but the sad truth is it was an Apple Watch that spent most time on my wrist.

I hang my head in shame and resolve to not have it happen again for 2022.

Two actually, both worn much more than any other in the collection. Quite rare, and gorgeous with the added beauty of actually being wearable without worrying about damage or wear marks. Real tool watches and worn as made.

This gets more wrist time than anything else.
I am not even sure how old it is
Anything from 1985 to 1990 depending on what website you look on.
    1479 Bracelet is lovely.

My most worn watch was my GMT as I have been travelling a lot this last year.

I rotate through around 13 watches on a one-day-per-watch basis so in theory I should wear them all pretty much equally, but for the past couple of months I’ve been experimenting with multiple QR straps on a couple of watch heads, so I think by a slim margin I’ve probably worn my Offshore Professional Field Engineer slightly more than any of the others.

    Love this watch .

A few years ago I actually recorded which watch I wore each day to get this information, but I stopped straight away after the 12 months were up.

I honestly couldn't guess which of my watches was worn the most this year, which is a healthy sign for someone with a fair number of watches.

Worn pretty much every day and the cheapest in the box,

By way of comparison I’d say the Speedy Pro saw the light of day < 10 times, Seamaster and Panerai even less. Hulk, Breitlings & Tudor all 0.

Definitely my black Seiko Marine Master SLA21J 300 with golden second hand. Such a beauty.

Perennial favourite, Damasko DC57 remains top of the list - so legible, so useful, so robust:

A new pretender is getting a LOT of wrist time, taking the #2 slot is the Casio MRW-200:

And another new face is enjoying considerable wrist-time, displacing much else, Damasko DC76 custom:

OP's VC chrono is just so bloody - but I'm too much of a pov to feel comfortable wearing such a thing routinely!

Most worn would be my 2021 CWC G10 Nav.

Acquired as a watch for work as I undertake a fairly manual job, so it can sometimes take the odd knock and the date reminder is handy for paperwork.

For me it’s been the JLC Polaris that I bought back in April. I actually had to check that it was during 2021 as it feels like a lifetime ago in these strange times.

I tried the watch on a strap for a while but I find that the bracelet is just so good and comfortable (especially once I found the micro adjustment!).

It’s been a belter of an all rounder and has pleasantly surprised me. I love my 34mm gorgeous blue dial Air King and my Speedmaster too and never thought that they would be consigned to the watch box but I get such a thrill from seeing the Polaris on my wrist that I haven’t swapped it out for more than an afternoon or so here and there.

    It’s a funny hobby sometimes!

The Dynamic III without a doubt. But Christmas and the start of 2022 has been all CWC.

Exactly the same here, the 6S Pro has been brilliant for all the fitness and active stuff it's been faced with and has had me questioning whether it's worth hanging on to some of my other watches.

My CWC Diver has been my daily wearer for 3 years now. I work strange hours so sent it back to CWC for them to fit the Day/Date SBS dial so I can keep track of what day it is!

Even though it didn't arrive until April, I'd say it was comfortably the DC86

LOLZ - only on a forum full of watch nerds would you see this information posted to one decimal place

Did you record what you wore every day, as a matter of interest, and do you do that every year?

I haven't got a clue, I don't keep track - but then I have c15 watches and wear them in rotation. I'm surprised people can reply definitively to this, unless you have a clear winner.

    Yes, it is sad!

I must have been very bad in a previous life as I have to work with Excel. One of the first jobs of the day (after putting the kettle on) is noting which watch I'm wearing and its time relative to the GPS reference. The CWC is currently showing a mean gain of 0.2 seconds per day.

I only record on working days, and the records only go back to September 2020.

Everyday watch though it’s off at Rolex for a service and a recently acquired 14060m has taken its place and may be hard to shift now.

I kept a record of what I wore last year. It's not 100% accurate as there were days I forgot to update and had to work out what had been worn but it's a pretty good representation. Unsurprisingly, with working from home, regular running and lots of dog walking, the most-worn is my Garmin fenix, bought on SC in March 2021, which replaced my old ForeRunner. Of the mechanical watches, the Pelagos had a good year!

The Seiko Hard Metal arrived in late November so didn't get much opportunity to be worn. I'll follow up with a couple of quick group shots I took.

Now this is next level! Great idea, might steal it for this year.

Does this help you determine what to sell on or what you might buy next??

An even (ish) tie between my Everest and my PRS1.

In a bold statement i’d say I *could* just keep the PRS1 and sell the rest …!
