Seriously -
Probably best to have a drink in hand for this one. Not necessarily alcoholic - anything restorative is fine.
Ok.
Despite the copious quantities of limited editions which don't really do much for me, I think I'd be interested if Omega brought out a Speedie that was similar to the Alaska but with Saturn V silhouettes on the sub-dials instead of Gemini capsules, grey accents instead of red and some vague wording to celebrate the only propulsion system to get humans beyond low Earth orbit. 1861 movement is fine. Hesalite. Nato only. Reasonably priced if poss.
Your turn.

^I can see the appeal.
I think perhaps after a few years we become a bit too familiar with some of the industry stalwarts. That's probably why some of us end up taking a few years away from things.
To be honest, since picking up my BB58 in August 2021 I haven't really had much of an interest in obtaining new watches which really surprised me.
Previously to owning the BB58, I picked up two Yema pieces in the first half of 2021 and a couple of Bertucci field watches to scratch that typical watch itch that raises it's head all too frequently.
With the BB58 I have found myself gravitating to this piece for pretty much every occasion even though I do own quite a few watches in different styles, diver, field, dress and so on to choose from.
To me, the BB58 could very easily be my "one watch" collection only being surpassed by my grail piece, the Rolex Explorer 1 (114270 or 124270) as the 36mm size is just perfect in my eyes but at this moment in time, unobtainable, but maybe sometime in the future this may come into fruition.
Happy New Year...
OK so i'm not a huge fan of the brand (or rather the feelings associated with them), but when i was browsing their website the other day, couldn't help myself but wonder what a "gilt Daytona" (=the bastard child of the steel and the two tone version) would look like. Reached for my photoshop and there you go:
What would we all call it? The Lilt or the Pineapple, perhaps?

Pretty much echos how I feel here.Had the Tudor Heritage but let it go back to the original buyer owner for sentimental reasons, and was always tempted whenever I saw a BB58 on sc.
It wasnt until earlier this week that I made the right decision and bought one,I like the newness and yet vintage look.
I also agree its certainly a possible 1 watch contender.
I had one once where a pocket watch was chasing me off a cliff and into the sea whilst it was riding a motorbike, but I don't think thats what you meant.
Cheers..
