I’ve always assumed it’s a dark blue dial.
Mine certainly has a blue tinge, but that may be an artefact from the AR on the (non OEM) domed crystal on mine.

Ah, yeah, I think you're right on the AR. Mine had the OEM flat crystal without any sort of treatment, the dial was perhaps more obviously black on mine than yours.

Omega did some wonderful watches, with and without blue dials, but their blues were usually spectacular.
