New Seiko LX US Special Edition - Yes Please

Just spotted this new US Special Edition of the LX range. Looks absolutely stunning (to me) As a very happy owner of the blacked out version of this watch, I know first hand how well made and finished they are. Dial looks awesome!

Very nice, albeit with a slightly odd choice of silver hands and indices on a silver dial.
I still slightly hate the PR plonked near the 8 (why?), but they have been doing it so long that maybe I am developing a blindness to it.

I would agree. I'd be worried about the eligibility of the dial. I have an IWC Yachtclub with a white/silver face and silver hands which has the same problem - but I can forgive it because I think it's super stylish!

I love these watches, but why are they so big?! I mean they’re gargantuan in dimensions!

I agree on all counts. They approach 45mm in diameter and 15mm tall – doesn’t this sizing rule them out for many potential buyers? Why does Seiko make such a whopper? Despite liking big watches, even I find them too large.

Just like a 40 mm watch would rule them out for many
It is not a ‘whopper’, it is a conscious decision. It is hardly as if they don’t make smaller watches.

Also, I’ve found that big Seikos often wear smaller than their dimensions suggest. The MM200 is about the same size on paper, but wears much more like a 40mm watch.

I like this one. If I ever get back to the US I shall see if I can find one…

Agreed. While I understand on paper these sound massive, I've found that in reality thats not the case, and this case wears well on my 7" wrist. The short lug to lug and titanium case obviously help. It also happens to be one of the most comfortable to wear watches I've had.
Also understand that size is subjective - I like a larger watch, and wouldn't feel comfortable wearing any of the smaller style of watches. Each to their own - would be a boring hobby if we all liked the same things!
