The watch polisher - Sub bracelet with PCL

Fancied a changed for my BLRO on jubilee, had a second hand 97200 bracelet that I put on now and again but missed the factory look. Sent the bracelet to “the watch polisher” having admired his work for a while. Really impressed with the results and due to the glidelock get the perfect fit wearing it with the Pepsi which I couldn’t quite get when I had a BLNR on oyster. Can’t fault the service by the watch polisher, would highly recommend.

That's a great idea. Along a similar line, I've often wondered if I could get hold of just a gridlock clasp for my YM bracelet and have it polished. Easylink is all well and good at home...until I get the chance to go on a warm holiday again and I'm back to wishing I had glidelock.

He has just increased his prices, but I paid old price of £150 just for the bracelet as going from brushed to polished is more involved. Reversing back to all brushed would be c£100.

Not sure how this compares to other polishers but given the quality of his work it was money well spent in my eyes.

I did ask him about a case polish but he didnt get back to me so never pursued it further.

Not a bad price to be fair.

    That looks great

I’ve also used him before and would recommend him too.

His Instagram looks excellent. What as your turnaround? I have a GMT that has a lot bracelet stretch that would do with his handy work

    thanks

I’d say about a week turnaround for a polish, but reach out to him for exact times. I’ve also sent a Daytona bracelet for a full refurb as that was stretched and needed a polish, considerably more work involved as the whole bracelet will be stripped down and laser welded (if that is the correct term) where required. That’’ll be with him for a couple of weeks and costs a fair bit more, but a lot cheaper than buying a new bracelet. Think he’ll be doing an instagram post on it once done too.

Thanks , was hoping he was based in the Lordship Lane in North London not south! Had a chat with him and will be sending him my GMT for for a polish and bracelet repair too.

The work looks amazing, though I must say - At the price he’s charging, is it not better value to go through RSC with a full service?

Would RSC even do something like this? Going from brushed to polished? Also, even if they did it would likely be another £500 for the service when it doesn’t sound like it’s required yet.

Great idea! So was that originally an all brushed submariner bracelet and clasp with the glide lock?

The glide lock is such a great feature - wish they did it as standard on the GMTs.

I assume the fit at the lugs is exact?

The watch is only 8 months old and doesn’t need a service (which is c£600). RSC would also not put PCL on a sub 97200 bracelet.

Yes, originally all brushed 97200 bracelet and clasp with glidelock.

Perfect wiggle free fit using the GMT springbars.
